The problem with dehumanization, is that once someone stops seeing another person as a person, there is no limit to what they won't do. I don't know where I'm gong with this. Just that I'm sad to have seen this so openly in my lifetime, and I'm heartbroken that anyone can support it.

What really gets to me about the way ICE treats people is that it requires a level of dehumanization to spray chemicals in people's faces, to shove people who are recording, to call people names after shooting them. It requires them to think of the people they are interacting with as less than.
