This poem was found while cataloguing a bundle of late 19th C items this morning.
We're used to seeing rhyming in verse & some phonetic spellings but this poem is unusually amusing, especially the title! Ameighlia Maireigh (Amelia Mary)
daughter/waughter (water)
beauties/deauties (duties)

Two halves of an indenture c.1280 relating to a religious house in Nottinghamshire.

Two halves of an indenture c.1280 relating to a religious house in Nottinghamshire.

A rare sight.
This matching indenture from c.1280 was discovered whilst cataloguing. Christopher's Deja vu led him to check back through his work & discover they were a pair.
As indentures are copies of the same document given to individual parties it is quite rare for them to be reunited. #archive
