I’m sorry to say it but:

The emporer is actually naked.

I genuinely think Urban Legend doughnuts taste better. Not that I’d turn down a Krispy Kreme if offered of course!

I think we get into more routines as we get older, and routine makes time go really fast

Question. Why is orange juice so vile after toothpaste? I’m sure at Christmas I’ve eaten a piece of Terry’s chocolate orange after an After Eight with no ill effects

This is a public service announcement. Urban Legend doughnuts are really tasty. And most are under 200 calories, which is a win as far as I’m concerned. I think they are better than the toothachingly sweet Krispy Kremes. PSA over.

Humans Actually Have Secret Stripes And Other Strange Markings Humans have invisible skin patterns, due to a quirk in how our enveloping layer forms.

I have just learned that humans have (usually invisible) patterns on their skin. Called Blaschko’s lines. 🤯 www.sciencealert.com/humans-actua...

I’ve been banned from mentioning the T word in this house. My cohabitant would rather pretend it’s not happening. Which I understand. But it is. 🙃

It’s a shit business…

I just found my watch which has been missing for a week. I just went to put the bins out and there it was, next to the wheelie bin, screen still glowing, soaking wet. I’d searched the house and was convinced it had gone for good - but it seems fine after its ordeal. So happy! It’s the small things 🙂

It started with conspiracy and propaganda then evolved into dehumanisation - spreading distrust, fear and disgust about the target. The powerless were given a group to blame, the illusion of power. The techniques used now are the same. It’ll only happen again if people let it.

Sadly, they are…

I’m really struggling with the current state of the world. Trump and Musk, the creeping rise of AI, the impact of climate change, Ukraine, trans rights, women’s rights, the list goes on and on and I feel so utterly helpless

Anyone else watch Somebody Somewhere? It’s a TV gem, it should be better known

Grey’s Anatomy is my go-to at this point. Everyone is a hero, people are intrinsically good, Patrick Dempsey has great hair. It soothes the soul.

There’s comes a point where we all need to stop giving these people the benefit of the doubt. I know no one wants to admit what we’re seeing, but they doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Because I don’t like to bury my head in the sand I thought I would check out what’s going on ‘over there’ today. I lasted about two minutes before scrabbling for that sand again

Im guessing the Oscars must make a lot of LA businesses and workers a lot of money, something that many will need right now

I had to top up my car coolant, and forgot to put the cap back on 🤦‍♀️ Drove 45 mins to work, and noticed what I thought was smoke coming out of the bonnet as I got to work. Local dealer managed to get a replacement cap ordered same day so I’ve driven home okay but was super stressed 🚙

Quite pleased with this

It really depends on your tolerance for this sort of reality stuff - mine is quite high! We watched another episode this evening and I was pulled in even more, I think we’ll end up sticking with it

Just caught up with Vengence Most Fowl, the latest Wallace and Grommit adventure that was shown over Christmas. Cracking stuff!

Okay I did it. Watched the first two episodes. It was quite good, I’m not sure why everyone has gone quite so crazy for it, but maybe it picks up speed. I’ll probably watch some more to see how it goes

Have you considered Vinted? I was impressed at how easy it was, the buyer pays postage so all you have to do once it’s sold is wrap it and the label is printed for you at the drop off. And then delivery is tracked so you know it has arrived. Easier than eBay I thought

Despite my protestations I just watched the Bank of Dave 2 on Netflix. Rory Kinnear is always endearing, but man, I would have been okay never having watched this nonsense

That’s impressive! I’m not too bothered about Prime streaming because I rarely find anything watch but sadly I rely heavily on prime deliveries and the Kindle lending library. Disney+ has totally been worthwhile lately, loads on there I’ve enjoyed watching
