Great question! It depends on the day, really. 😅 I do wish that my parents didn't subscribe to the belief that ASL would "confuse me." I also have no love for the AGB Foundation.
Captioning is also needed for non-signers. Not all deaf/HoH know ASL. I'm one of them & still learning. I grew up with audism/ableism and blocked from learning ASL in favor of being oral growing up.
