Wow, the Ardshanbally brooch-pin has really captured the public imagination. It really is a stunning object and a very positive story of close collaboration between the public and private sectors to identify and preserve our archaeological heritage.

The excavations were carried out by Archaeological Management Consultancy on behalf of Limerick City & County Council funded by Transport Infrastructure Ireland. The on-going post-excavation research will hopefully reveal more about the context of the pin's deposition. 3/4
