PRT weighs cutting nearly half of bus lines in Allegheny County Pittsburgh Regional Transit gave details on potential cuts to service and rate increases without a boost in state funding.

PRT riders will lose 41 bus lines and see reductions to most of the remaining lines, a 35% reduction in all, if additional state funding can't be secured. At this rate, the agency would face a “death cliff” — ceasing to exist — in about three years.
