Two of the trees have the blue masking tape pulled off and there’s a more detailed layer for leaves being applied, partially ontop of the two trunks

All of the tape has been removed. A lot more detail has been applied. Grass on the left side is visible. One of the trees has the scarring that is associated with birch and aspen trees, and also has shading. All the other trunks are practically untouched however and are just white paper. Some branches have been painted in and the foliage is starting to become detailed

Worked on some aspen/birch trees in watercolor! Last photo is where I ended up after two hours of work

(I know there’s a difference between aspen and birch but I don’t know what the difference is)

Critics of new bill say Ohio women would be banned from sports bras, bikinis in public 'The peak of fear mongering.'

Media needs to stop with "critics say" and just quote the actual language of the bill.

HB 249 creates a new category of "seminudity" which can be used to arrest women who aren't nude, but are wearing clothing — leggings, t-shirts without bras — that religious groups feel is too provocative.

Federal judge unloads on ‘unserious’ RFK Jr., says anti-trans policy showed his ‘cruelty’ Judge Mustafa T. Kasubhai vacated the “Kennedy Declaration,” finding it unlawfully attempted to override medical standards and restrict care for transgender youth.

Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.

“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

A big thank you to Hannah Spencer MP for signing our letter and standing in clear support of the trans+ community.

Like Hannah, many women from across the political spectrum have joined the 101,000+ UK women who have already signed our letter - Women in support of the trans+ community.

The article didn’t need a JK segment. You can just say: she’s not affiliated with us, no comment.

Instead we hear paragraphs of praise for and the need for common ground with people like [author who called for funding to be withheld from Rape Crisis Scotland]

1837 color drawing, a plan of the interior of the Tomba delle Bighe (Tomb of the Chariots) showing the frescos, the sarcophagus (now in the British Museum 1838,0608.8) and its contents. It can easily be printed and cut out, everything folding into place to form a 3D version of the tomb. Other cut-outs include all four sides and top of the sarcophagus and the grave goods - mostly armor.

Pen and ink and bodycolour inlaid into a second sheet of paper.
Verso: faint graphite sketch of the interior of the tomb.

British Museum, London (2016,5002.1)

Here's some paper cut-out fun for the whole family: an #Etruscan tomb, complete with 3D sarcophagus, frescoes, *and* grave goods!

This print in the #BritishMuseum was probably from Campanari's 1837 exhibition of Etruscan and Greek antiquities at Pall Mall, London. Print it out! 🏺 1/

Supreme Court Decision one year on – 365 days of confusion, gaslighting, and fear A ruling that was supposed to provide legal clarity has left service providers more confused than ever, and Trans+ people vulnerable. What now?

“Spaces for all women have been lost as inclusive women’s groups have closed rather than be bullied into excluding trans people, and trans people have been increasingly worried about what comes next.”

Defining “sex” in crude biological terms does not offer clarity — it just cultivates more anxiety.

A year under attack – and a year fighting back Jess O’Thomson and Jolyon Maugham reflect on what has happened in the year since the Supreme Court’s judgment, and how the trans community has courageously fought back

It's a year today since the Supreme Court decision on the meaning of "sex" under the Equality Act 2010.

Jolyon Maugham and I have written a reflective piece with our thoughts on the judgment, everything that has happened since, and why it's so important that we are still fighting - together 👇

All the demeaning ways Home Office expects LGBTQ+ migrants to 'prove' themselves With comments suggesting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers are pretending to be gay, how do you successfully prove your sexuality to the UK Home Office?

In light of the BBC claiming that asylum seekers are falsely claiming to be gay in order to gain asylum, here is an article about the difficulties and humiliations LGBT asylum seekers have experienced trying to prove their identities.
