A watercolor sketchbook where there’s torn tape masking where the tree trunks are going to be, the sketch itself is very minimal, only a pathway and some tree branches. Nothing is painted
The first base layer has been applied, with a bit of blue sky showing, and a mix of yellows and oranges where the leaves are and red where grass will be. A bit of brown marks the path
Two of the trees have the blue masking tape pulled off and there’s a more detailed layer for leaves being applied, partially ontop of the two trunks
All of the tape has been removed. A lot more detail has been applied. Grass on the left side is visible. One of the trees has the scarring that is associated with birch and aspen trees, and also has shading. All the other trunks are practically untouched however and are just white paper. Some branches have been painted in and the foliage is starting to become detailed
Worked on some aspen/birch trees in watercolor! Last photo is where I ended up after two hours of work
(I know there’s a difference between aspen and birch but I don’t know what the difference is)
