Heading is a bit click bait-y - they found the stuff of life, not life, but still cool.

It was a beautiful day for it
On my bike ride home from work I discovered a sure sign of spring - inchworm season has begun! I now have a handful inchworms residing somewhere on my person. Yay 😐
Well, I didn't get much writing done today but I did get the other computer converted* to Linux Mint.
*There's still a bunch of setup to do, like seeing if I can get my keyboard backlight working using the project on GitHub and installing all the things.
I'm jealous of the diversity of apartment forms and their outdoor space in that neighbourhood. I wish we allowed more density more broadly here in @saanichbc.bsky.social - we might then get some of that. Instead, we seem to nitpick all the cool stuff out. I'd love a courtyard.
That was my question - how many of these are actually e-motos.
Yes! I want this here too.
Sunday chuckles ... but also true.
Today's smile ☺️
I will never reveal whether I'm an alien, a helpful elf or a really talented cat.
But we need to be careful we're not repeating the thing we want to refute in our efforts to refute it. There's a chance that's what get remembered then.
Wow! I don't know but about FF but I know this is amazing.
Yay, they moved on from shagging photographers!
It's not funny because the kakapo did draw blood ... but it's also really funny.

Also smart enough to learn "I need more marbles!"
Completely different vibe but this reminded me of my favourite song from movie lines.

Rant: how is it okay for Samsung to pop up a message on my phone asking me to agree to new terms without actually telling me what those new terms are or giving a link at least?
I've almost missed National Canadian Film Day. Lots here I haven't seen, but I can recommend The Grand Seducation.

I did not know it was based on a Québécois movie - I might need to find that.
371 words written tonight. They all need to be re-written but there's something to work with.
This would be amazing.
Whether or not you support the NDP, contact your MP and urge them to support this. The price you pay shouldn't change day to day based on how frazzled you are or whether we having a heat wave or whether your a senior citizen.

Sketch of an ant done in pencil
I picked up a book from the library on drawing insects. It had a note for parents and educators 😄
Might not be meant for me, but I'm enjoying it.
Here is a slightly skewed ant.
I'm not a parent - I have no idea how hard these days. However, there's also the idea of holding companies accountable for the design of their software and their use of the data they already have on us rather than destroying our freedoms and the free flow of information on the internet.
Just look at the OS age verification laws being proposed in the US - you have to give over your data just to use a computer. In some cases, it's simple attestation. In others, you actually have to use your govt ID.
Excuse me if I don't trust the Liberal govt to implement a good solution that doesn't just force us to hand over even more of our personal data to big tech.
I don't have kids so I speak from a place of concern about tech oligarchy.
These policies mean even more surveillance of *everyone* by big tech companies ... who've shown they're great with protecting our data and not using it for nefarious purposes.
The art is delightful and the comments made me laugh.
This is gorgeous.
True.
In English (pretty simple so my poor Spanish suffices):
When you're a child, you want to be a teenager.
When you're a teenager, you want to be and adult.
When you're an adult, you want to be a cat.
My bet is notice, judge you then turn circles and go back to sleep.
