Feel he needs some selective bullshit, even if this is what he thinks

Every morning I take my Dog out for a walk and a poo, in the park..it's brilliant, she always barks to let me know if someone is coming. So I can quickly pull up my jeans and pretend I was looking for her ball...

Thought that, physically, PSG really did a number on Liverpool in the Champions League, but think Arsenal are more geared to handle that.

Slot also mentioned their weakness at set pieces, so that's an obvious way home for Arsenal.

PSG are a more complete team but it's a hard tie to call

Berg and Hauge didn't shine elsewhere but are great for them.

Also associated Molde and Rosenborg with being the giants there, but it's a great story

I like how stories like this still happen in football

Bodo Glimt have been superb in Europe for what feels like a decade

Yup. 2/3 goals were them letting rip

Definite similarities, but I find PSG's brand of possession football - where the players appear to have the latitude to express themselves - far more entertaining than the sterile, overly micromanaged style of play Pep Guardiola has favored in recent years

That's a great point. Salah will ALWAYS be valuable to them, even symbolically

Intangibles are through the roof. Can't quantify leadership and communication skills, but he has both in spades

I think his communication and leadership skills would be worth any risk associated with that

There's always the danger you leave yourself vulnerable to an Aubameyang/Ozil scenario when you commit to such deals, but Salah and VVD - who, imo, was the most important one to pick - are different characters and can be effective even when they lose pace

Liverpool retaining Van Dijk and Salah should help their cause in other deals, both internal - signing Konate, etc, to new deals - and external, in terms of showing prospective signings the ambition of the project.

Diaz clearly man of the match, but Robertson was excellent second half

No. Rugby

Gapko for Jota and moving Diaz centrally seems the obvious call

Everton get away with so much against Liverpool, totally contrary to the narrative that the bigger teams get everything

1 year ago 9 0 0 0

Very little pace in the front three, but maybe that wouldn't be as much of a factor against a team who will sit deep, anyway

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Liverpool had very little progression from right back against Newcastle - which isn't Quansah's fault, it's not his forte - so there's a clear logic to play Jones there. Everton are missing McNeil, too, who could've given him a hard time.

Irish women's team have improved exponentially in what feels like no time

Whether there's intention from Mitoma is irrelevant. By that logic, there would never be penalties because who would purposely give one away?

So disappointing. Munster were down to thirteen for a huge chunk of that

Connacht haven't come close to showing up. Feels like Ulster home Interpro at Christmas

Ireland have played some lovely stuff between the lines, but are just lacking the final ball. Yes, Bulgaria are poor, but Ireland have routinely made teams look like Brazil 1970

Only Connacht could score 40 points on the road and still lose

Connacht are maddingly inconsistent
