A peaceful sunny scene by a large, though low water level, pond, with fields and trees behind. At the water’s edge are several ducks and one sheep, who has turned its head to look at the camera.

Absolutely dystopian juxtaposition from the Guardian front page. Difficult to understand how anyone of decency and conscience can defend this government at this point. Just sheer moral degeneracy to arm a state that does this and arrest people for objecting. Wtf are we doing as a country?

A series of blue post it notes in different shades on a brown pin board. One has the word TESCO written on it. The one below reads: My English ancestors at sea during the industrial revolution.

an orange coloured crisp (potato chip) in a wonky oval shape has a sharp narrow oval hole in the middle, making it look like the eye of sauron from lord of the rings. it is laid flat on a dark grey marbled table.

NEW: Channel 4 to broadcast the doc about Gaza medics ditched by BBC.

The Beeb worried about partiality. C4 says they believe it is “duly impartial view of a subject that both divides opinion and frequently provokes dispute about what constitutes a fact”.

Shown this Wednesday.

whenever i'm up all night writing with the cat i think of Pangur Ban - the cat of an Irish monk who lived in Reichenau Abbey in the 9th century, and the poem the monk wrote about him.

My father would womanize, he would start land wars with Denmark. He would make outrageous claims like claiming ownership of Greenland. Sometimes he would refer to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

The ICC’s arrest warrants are long overdue.

The Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary must immediately endorse this decision. That is the bare minimum.

Will the UK government now, finally, honour its international obligations to prevent genocide and end all arms sales to Israel?

Have you ever left a room/crossed the street or been next door to an iconic incident but not actually witnessed it?

I was inside the venue when this happened. When I was a teenager I used to volunteer as backstage crew at Rhyl Little Theatre and I was tidying up some cables, doing last minute taping down. Then left out the back and didn’t know about it till I got home and my Mum asked if I’d seen it.
