Love this book. Fun fact: every time I see it on the bookshelf I think it says Folk Wives.

Sounds promising. Try em at different stages if you can! Mine only stay at green (not enough sun).

For my English friends who may be curious if there are breweries in the states doing quality English beer the answer is yes. Zebulon Artisan Ales in Weaverville, North Carolina, absolutely kill it. Mike does a lot of collaboration w/Ron Pattinson which has ended up with some bangers like this one.

Golden hour at Windfall Acres, our informal name for the Chatham County orchard we manage.

Paw paw flowers are kind of metal, to be honest. Flies are attracted to -- and pollinate -- blood red three-lobed flowers that smell of rotted meat.

What's with the price cut? It's so much greener than all the land surrounding it.

Pictured: @fullsteamjon.bsky.social 's sexy hand and regeneratively grown malted barley from our friends at Riverbend. Look for our first Regenified-certified beer (Reset ESB) in a few weeks.

Happy holidays! Hopefully in a year we can have warming drinks under this landmark.

Plus building a new brewery now strikes me as foolish. Tons of available capacity. Construction costs are still very high. And to rent/own a large building is very expensive. It's not very sustainable, on many fronts.

Contract brewing our growing core beers means more focus on my true calling: connecting people to the land and to one another.

I am more passionate about hospitality than I am manufacturing.

What a delightful escape to Lansing NC to celebrate the reopening of Old Orchard Creek General Store, which was ravaged by Helene. The place looks incredible. Twas an honor to buy a beer for the head of the Lansing Fire Department and to hang with Sheri Castle (who really should be on Blue Sky)!
