Also: GSC is super slow at updating them. Slow-ass caching doesn't make for great reporting honestly.

It's just me or has Data Studio gotten quicker after the re-rebrand?
Did they pull the plug on some deadweights on the bakend?
And it comes with a free cockscrew!! 😂
Freelancers, what’s stopping you from forming a bigger company?
A) I’m happy working solo
B) I don’t have enough business to justify it
C) I’m working on it, not ready yet
For me it was a natural step going from solo freelance to my first agency. It’s not for everyone.
You?
D) I actually tried to onboard a junior figure to manage routine tasks and eventually learn and grow, but it didn't work. Then came LLMs and everything changed. Now routine boring tasks are offloaded to LLMs with proper QA, at a fraction of the cost. I personally feel bad for juniors, but hey.
Looker Studio becomes Data Studio...again
(not a joke...It is sad that this even needs to be said)
Here my take after reading the announcement
www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...
Fun fact: when they rebranded to Looker Studio... I actually didn't update the bookmark. Name and domain, they stayed as "Data Studio" and "datastudio.google.com".
Somehow, I knew.
Unhappy woman on left lanel saying But you changed Looker Studio back to Data Studio. Smug cat on right says: Nope it stays as Search Console
Google Webmaster Tools...
I honestly think this is *exactly* the kind of implementation that made the Ads team greenlight all LLMs surfaces as a feature.
We all know for sure it's the Ads team that has the last word on these kinds of product launches, since the infamous Dischler-writes-to the-Chrome-team 2019 email.
Basic prompt injection techniques are taken care of by the major models, luckily. But there's always room for harm, after all LLMs are probabilistic machines and the guardrails are never 100% foolproof.

Yes!! That's the spirit behind this small little project: meteo.martinomosna.com
I didn't like the local weather report service website, but the forecasts were good and the data were in open formats (and open-licensed too).
So I just took the data and built the website for MY personal use.
Vibe coding a website - doesn't have to result in a new SaaS making you millions. Just make & fix the things that annoy you. Make the web you want to find, even if it's just for yourself.
Yeah, this is so in plain sight that I pity all those "DRAMATIC STRATEGY GENIUS MOVE" post that I'm reading here and there.

Automating #SEO fields is useful, but without human checks, basic errors slip through: "SEO title", duplicate suffixes, Lorem ipsum, unresolved variables...Post in Italian, but the image makes the point clear 😁 www.linkedin.com/posts/marsel...

I've seen this kind of response only in very dumb, small, local LLMs (and the response usually gets truncated by the token response limit).
They're throttling the resources in the background. They do this all the time, without telling the user.
Web traffic, the metric that newsrooms use to prove their value, no longer measures anything real.

Yeah, that makes sense to me also.
My brain remembers it too, the ratio being: the link isn't normally clickable by a human. But a URL is still a URL and if it's parsed, then it counts as discovered.
To all my fellow independents and consultants, you are not charging enough.
This was your daily reminder.
Work less, for more money. This has been my personal mantra since I started freelancing.
Yeah, it smells like that 🦨
Yeah, it was definitely a branding move. But a well made one, since it made me move from ChatGPT to Claude. The models are clearly better and the political stance just made the decision finally "click". Well timed.
"only" LMAO
Take note: AI bots aren't checking if you have an LLMs.txt file

Not surprising but worth sharing.

Google: this page I found on your site... I'm going to play with it. Drop it out of the index once in a while
Also Google: Oh! I'm gonna rank this old-school blatant spam like there's no tomorrow
Also Google: if your pages aren't being indexed, maybe there's a quality issue.
Or, maybe, dear Google... you're not even trying anymore.
