Alright, finally got around and start uploading all the parts of the Nintendesi Multiworld and the even as a bonus the little FFMQ Rando segment.
I finally figured out some decent settings for Da Vinchi Resolve and it no longer gets stuck randomly (which was a pain too figure out, let me tell ya).
I already know about usb bar code scanners. I might use one for a game idea one time but not this time yet.
The easier it is, the better, as i said, i can't do soldering.

Meanwhile, anybody know a usb device i could use on pc to use as a controller with little trouble (i have no soldering skillz/space)? I would be interested to make a game with a unique controller as a limitation. 😊

It's not my usual work and there are parts that are definitely rougher on the edges, but it definitely felt good to make something and see someone play it after so long.
It made me realize also I am terrible at writting puzzle clues.
I am looking forward to touch things up and release it out here.
I also actually plan to release this hack later this year, although with its IRL references and escape room puzzles removed and with added credits.
I plan for it to be hosted on the Team Dicks website if my friends give me the okay, otherwise I shall host it in my SMW Central file bin.
Forgot to mention:
Last year for Christmas I made a personal SMW romhack for my brother, which included a IRL escape room esque search hunt in our house. Thats right, I actually finished something in a long time again.
I used this project to play around with some stuff while ignoring the gfx side.
This should be a reasonable list of things all things considered. I already have a video in the works (the big cut of the Nintendesi multiworld) and also have other video ideas.
I lowered my expectations with games/hacks.
Can I this time fufil more than 50% this year? Or maybe all? Let's see! 👍
Here we go, new year, new resolutions! In 2026, my plans are:
* at least ONE Team Dicks HOSTED hack (collab, solo, etc.)
* at least ONE hack/mod of a non SMW hack
* at least TWO new YT videos
* at least THREE livestreams this year
* at least ONE good enough prototype of an actual new game by myself
I am going to post the 2026 years resolutions in their own post, but I definitely only managed 1 new video on youtube and the the 3 livestreams.
I will see that I will keep the amount low this year so that I can at least give what I promise or seek out to do.
I hope I can do better this year. 🙇♂️
Well the year 2025 came to an end... and with that, i failed most of my new year's resolutions. I am sorry for being such a let down already into the year 2026.
Most of these were unexpectly blocked by either IRL issues, work or motivation not being there.
