Tickets for the Ashes series have gone through the roof with second (Everton) & third (Headingley) tests sold out with Wembley selling at a good rate. Proof that international RL should be the pinnacle and promoted. #rugbyleague

Step out of London and get ‘up North’ (of England). Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland Coast (proper Castles). Eat a ‘chip butty’, full English breakfast & visit Bradford for the best curry! Over the border Glasgow is fantastic; then drive to Mull of Kintyre & look at Ireland.
But Harry was a rugby Union player for Salford pre 1895 😉 although Tom played in 1896 when we joined Northern Union. Both British Lions so interesting period.
Think he would have some good insights on the current game in contrast to the four players from different eras in Salford’s history.

Predicting a Rhinos win in Super League today - typically Salford 🤦
Salford squad v Leeds Rhinos for this Saturday.

Major story from me over the weekend on Salford Red Devils Rugby League Club for The i Paper:

It was a reserve team fixture - picked up too many injuries playing Barrow at the weekend. First team game v St Helens going ahead as planned.
Desperate for investment- timescale of stadium deal hasn’t helped or reduced central funding from TV deal.
As a Salford fan Super League is not sustainable financially in its own right. Clubs make losses every year but owners clear them every year. As a community owned club Salford had no such option even though losses were the smallest of all SL clubs.
This isn’t based on anything other than kallum being part of Salford’s squad.
Tynemouth.

Great news for Salford Red Devils! Despite sensationalist reports the Club are alive & kicking!

A brooding Scarborough Castle looking across South Bay.
My Mum died on Thursday aged 89 after a long struggle with dementia. She is at peace now! A Salford RLFC and Bolton Wanderers Fan she attended many games across the years. Pretty good at providing half time butties & a mean bacon sarnie at any point in the day. We will all miss you! ♥️♥️♥️
Probably both good calls tbh. Broncos have produced a great number of players & could be massive but slightly nomadic at times. Love to see a stronger Salford & a healthy London.
Jim Mills was always a good RL reinforcer!
We are a community owned club with no major owner or investor. Yet we finished 4th in SL last season, reached the GF in 2019 and CC Final in 2021 as well as losing a play-off semi in 2022. The new stadium deal will finally give the Club some welcome income. Amazed no one wants to invest tbh.
Only saying nice things on here.

Very happy with the progress on the allotment last weekend.
Rugby League in the Guardian quick crossword today!
Do we think a ‘blurb’ instead of post Bluesky?
A blurb?
