Thank you for the input! Ideally this thing doesn't sound terrible, I'll definitely rely on close mics mostly and work with what I have. I'm Hmming and hawing about the internal absorption, mostly because the inner room will already be tight, so wanting to take up minimal space 😅

I don't need it silent, I think if I can knock ~30db off it will work for my purposes. Found a few good build videos on YouTube. Fortunately will go in a basement, so transfer below shouldn't be an issue

DIY whisper room, drum ISO booth! Plan rn is to modularly make a room that can be disassembled if I need to move. OSB instead of drywall because of this. Biggest challenge will be making modules that aren't TOO heavy(<150 lbs each), connecting them in a way that doesn't make a million weak points

Craft beers are for drinking at bars now, and that's fine. Generic beer feels like a treat in the same way a diet dr pepper does now. Maybe I'm just getting old, but something about having unlimited access to something, even a nice thing, makes it less desirable?

In a strange twist of fate, what has gotten me to drink less is having a bunch of light beer in my house. I always have access to it, but I can't justify buying craft beer as a treat, I have beer. 2/3 nice beers in the fridge is somehow way more appealing than 8 cold mediocre ones staring at me

Most embarrassing thing about me is I'm thinking 2025 could be the year I start making YouTube videos regularly...
