It is a candid testimony about the ruthless torture, war crimes, and boundless cruelty that occurred and continue to occur in occupied Donetsk.
The new translation has been published by Nakladatelský dům Grada. The book recounts the 28 months that Ukrainian journalist Stanislav Aseyev spent in Russian captivity at the illegal "Izolyatsia" prison in occupied Donetsk.
Stanislav Aseyev's book "The Bright Path: A History of One Concentration Camp" is now available in Czech!

The film tells the story through survivors’ testimonies – how a place that once celebrated art became a space of pain and dehumanisation.
“Izolyatsia” was one of Eastern Europe’s biggest contemporary art centres in Donetsk. In 2014, Russian occupiers turned it into an illegal prison and Europe’s largest torture camp.
On 11 October at 3:30 PM, Donbas Media Forum hosts the screening of the “Izolyatsia” documentary. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko, Yurii Leuta, and Liudmyla Huseinova.
This year, IZOLYATSIA Foundation Director Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko will join the discussion on 'The Soft Power of Horizontal Connections,' exploring how culture, sports, public diplomacy, and the diaspora shape foreign perceptions of Ukraine."
This week, Donbas Media Forum is taking place in Kyiv gathering journalists and media managers from across Ukraine and the globe.
Four separate calls for project proposals are planned: three waves to support the creation of international projects and one ongoing call, which will remain open for applications to fund the dissemination of artworks, with selections every three and four months over a period of 16 months.
IZOLYATSIA is looking for experts with experience in the arts and cultural sector to participate in the evaluation and selection of projects supported by the ZMINA:Resilience project at national and international levels.

Anthrome explores the myth of the libertarian "exit" through techno-utopian visions like Biosphere 2 and seasteading, questioning how closed systems reproduce control, surveillance, and inevitable failure under the guise of autonomy.
The Anthrome is a room-scale audiovisual installation that simulates a hyper-realistic, reactive biosphere.
This Wednesday, 18:00 CET, online, the research collective Sfera will present the Anthrome project. The project was developed during the two-month DATAS online residency with IZOLYATSIA foundation.
