Hello. Nice to see you again. Let's get to it: after 3 seasons of laughs, jokes, and whatnot, David has decided to step away from the pod. This is David typing this so idk why I'm doing it in third person. Anyway - thank you! I'm leaving my door open. But still, knock. Please. But thank you again!

DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY. I completely forgot to put out a reminder yesterday, so out of the kindness of our hearts you've got an extra 12 HOURS from when I'm posting this to fill out our form! My lapse is your gain!! Come all ye faithful: forms.gle/rACAbfKfMKNa...
Happy Friday! There's just TWO more days left on our Game of the Era mega-poll. We've had some fantastic responses thus far, but any extra submissions can make all the difference!

Happy Monday campers! Filled out our GOTY form yet? You can use my pen if you like. Look - it's got one of those little air bubbles in it you can wiggle about! That's class.

OH - and obligatory link to last year's ep, if you wish to look back with wistful nostalgia: rss.com/podcasts/gam...
Hello Gamers! The hiatus ends Soon™. In the meantime, we have a fun form for you all to fill out in advance of our upcoming awards show special! Eight rockin' categories, fill out as many or as little as you like and we'll read out what we can on the air early next month. forms.gle/KedhRFJdmXUm...
...and of course, we'd be remiss to not recommend that special's similarly spooky precursor either! One of our earliest breakout episodes and again, a super fun editing challenge: rss.com/podcasts/gam...
Yesterday marked the first anniversary of our Halloween special. It's still an episode we're immensely proud of - most of all for packing in an entire mini audio drama at the end! Lots of edit work but it was so so worth it.

Hello, gamers. David here. Our next episode is still coming along, so fear not, we have not (what's a gamer thing? lost connection? no that's internet. hm) uh we have not lost the save file! there. We have not--we're still in the game. Uh that is to say watch this space for Gaming. Thanks.
David and I are still figuring out what we can *actually* do for the remainder of the year. The pod's not necessarily on ice, but it's also not in a position where I'm comfortable making promises I'm unsure we can keep. That's about as much as I can share for now. Hoping to be through it soon! - Sam
This has been nothing completely unexpected to be clear. I am being seen to by medical professionals!! It's all just happening... very slowly. Suffice to say though - creative energy has been at a severe deficit for me while I've basically been in survival mode. Took a while for me to accept that!
SO, er. Yeah. I was a bit premature in putting this statement out...! Honest-to-god, thought I was hitting a second wind, only to have a period of about 10 days immediately following this where I was barely able to stay awake for more than 4 hours at a time. Not ideal, to put it lightly.
HELLLLOOOOO GAMERS! Thanks for your patience during this extended hiatus. Our game plan for S4 is set and ready - just getting final pieces and a decent buffer in place before we're ready to commit to a schedule. More news as soon as we have it! - Sam
Our sister show is ending (for now), without it, it would be fair to say there would be no Gamer Era. Live long and prosper with the force, Eleven!
Hi. Hello. Monday the 8th of September was set to be the release date for our episode on the Sarah Jane Adventures series finale, The Man Who Never Was. It will be delayed for a small while. This is due to the following announcement: we have decided to rest Podtor Whocast for the foreseeable future
I mean, I don’t know if we can take *full* credit for the return of Chibi Robo 😅 but if you want to hear how we’d shape a new entry in the series - join us and special guest @sammycrow.bsky.social from the @gamertime.online podcast as we chat all about it! youtu.be/myZdB-hBWoA?...
Out of character for our account, I know - but I gotta try the boost at least!! There haaaass to be something out there! - Sam
Our lovely guest Lewis from Episode 033 ("Death in the Pac-Family") is looking to take SEGADriven to the next level - do consider pledging your support!
Also some inside baseball for the fun of it: when this was originally recorded in May, we had to do a retake on E32 at short notice due to similar file issues - so we recorded that, this, and then E33 (the Skip feature!) all within about... 3 or 4 days, I think? Like a cold pod-splash to the face!
SURPRISE!!! This one sat in the furnace for a good while but was immensely fun to guest on, so so glad it's out. Quite excited to listen back to it, oddly! Please do go check out the full NintenDormant channel as well - lots of incredibly deep pulls and the whole concept is wonderfully creative.
People should listen to our show. Good episodes on things like Donkey Kong, ChuckleVision, games award shows, and a lot of Bruce Forsyth talk
And that closes Season 3 of Gamer Era! We're gonna take another break before we kick back off again - not certain on the timing just yet, but within a couple months for sure. In the meantime though, why not leap into our considerable backlog? Slay that dragon, as the kids say! gamertime.online
Carl Yoda podcast. BOOM
Album art for Gamer Era Episode 36: "The Showman's Bluff" - with a tagline of "Let's Get Quizzical!". Episode art features a background recreation of the logo to "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?". In the foreground are Anne Robinson, low-poly Wii versions of Howie Mandel, Jasper Carrot and Vernon Kay, as well as Noel Edmonds holding a phone, and Chris Tarrant holding a Wii Remote. There is an image of a pensive-looking Yoda wearing some kind of Hawaiian shirt in the middle. Additional box-outs read "Play Along At Home!" and "Season Finale!".
NEW EPISODE: Riddle me this! What's crisper than a dollar bill fresh out the 'barrow? Why, it's Gamer Era's latest quiz-crossed instalment, of course! @wokejohnwayne.bsky.social joins us in the hotseat for this round. Fingers on buzzers, please...

Today's new episode will be another late-evening drop! Been an exceptionally busy fortnight and I gave myself a slight headache with the audio design on this one so it needs a little longer to "cook", as it were. - Sam
Cover art for Gamer Era Episode 35 - Death in the Pac-Family. Image depicts the extended family and associates of Pac-Man in the pews at his funeral, all teary-eyed and wearing dark, formal funeral clothing. (The attendees from left to right are: Jr. Pac-Man, Blinky the Ghost, Miru from "Pac & Pal", Chomp-Chomp, Pac-Mom, Baby Pac-Man and Professor Pac-Man.)
Are you READY to LAUGH?! Well, you better not be, because a certain ravenous yeller feller just keeled over and carked it. We're serious! So humble up and join us (+ @sonicyoda.bsky.social!!) for a bittersweet Pac-Man special. Pay your respects at: rss.com/podcasts/gam...
Ten days since the ep came out and I only JUST remembered to pin it. Ohh, it's too hot today.

Cover art for Gamer Era Episode 27 - No Country for Old Kongs. The Rare era of Donkey Kong Country designs are seen colliding with early 2000s depictions of the DK Crew on a banana-like background.
Plus - as a companion piece to both this ep and today's Bananza blowout - check out our Donkey Kong feature episode from February! Pretty immense to think of how much has shifted since then: rss.com/podcasts/gam...
Cover art for Gamer Era Episode 34 - Flight of the Polygon. The Star Fox team (and Croc) stand valiantly on a cosmic background, as the polygonal visage of Andross from the original Star Fox looms large behind them.
NEW EPISODE: All aircraft report! It's time to suit up and scope out Argonaut Software, the Super FX Chip, and the maiden voyage of Star Fox! Oh, and uh, the "Nintendo Switch 2" or something. Lock your nova blasters to: rss.com/podcasts/gam...
