I'm so concerned for the fate of the hobby electronics industry in the US.

I have friends who run small online shops selling modern hobby retro gear and it feels like, at least for now, it's going to end in short order.

No one can absorb these tariffs.

This is fantastic! A Google for 90mm filter paper solved my final remaining question. Thanks for sharing this idea!

Can you share some details on the process of creating a cleaning disk?

A lot of the Apple service manuals of this era (that share this style of presentation) are comically bad. The Color Classic one comes to mind. The diagrams are nearly useless, for one.

Yup. But I refuse to compare notes on what hurts and which body part is making that noise.

Nice, thanks! Looks like they have a new version called HEJNE. I might steal their design and build something similar. Awesome, thanks again!!

The capacitor that Apple soldered incorrectly at the factory Downtown Doug Brown digs into the internet rumors that the Apple Mac LC III, a “pizza box” Mac model produced from early 1993 to early 1994, should have had a recall due to incorrect assembly: Here…

Adafruit picked this up as well! So fun. blog.adafruit.com/2024/11/27/t...
