Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement

What a horrible fate to inflict on innocent women who are already facing resource hardship.
Justifying men sexually exploiting vulnerable women in other countries because women in their home countries have clocked them as losers? Are you fucking kidding me? “Passport bros” are pathetic losers that are ”frustrated with modern dating” because local women won’t put up with their shit
Economist coming out pro sex trafficking is fun. And predictable
You mean human trafficking? Passport bros are predators.
Fun fact: it was women who stormed to Versailles. Because they couldn’t afford groceries.
I lost a house to foreclosure not listening to the good advice this woman is getting. I hope she doesn’t do it- not even after marriage. Not joking. If he wants a house WITH her after they’re married, they can buy one together and she can rent hers out and keep that money/title separate.
We all known A*azon tends to sell books bellow list prices, but I've recently found them selling books at below WHOLESALE prices. I know this because I own a store. That's fucked up.
Anyways, support your local book stores. Shit's tough.
That’s because the last time Heritage Foundation wrote government policy was during Reagan.
Sounds an awful lot like you’re blaming women for patriarchy.
I do not want to create an account or open a subscription I just want to buy a thing and never hear from you again why is this so hard.
The fact that Mamdani just seems like a cheerful normal guy who's policies are things like "we're going to tax second homes to fund pothole repairs" or whatever and yet this generates panicked responses like "This is basically Stalin's great purge turned up to eleven" is... telling. It tells things.
Cartoon by Mike Lukovich shows the Trumptanic sinking with rats swimming away from the doomed ship in droves…right up to a podium with a microphone in the dock where one rat among the many gathered says “We wanna spend more time with our families…”
Damn. What did they ask him to do?
I think it’s a cycle period. When you’re just starting out and finally start to get good, you don’t want to see when you weren’t good. But as you get older and you have more art behind you, earlier art becomes more interesting/affection to see how it evolved, even it they thought it was bad then.

Yes, a lot of women internalize the misogyny. That’s why a lot of women have a “not like other girls” phase- because they’re told that women are bad and they don’t want to be bad. They want be one of the “good ones.” I went through it in my late teens. I was also afraid of my bisexuality.

I think the problem is that nobody’s doing fuck-all but talking about it.
Powerful people saw people without power using the internet to connect across communities and borders as a problem.
So they infiltrated the infrastructure.
That still didn’t work.
Now many of the same entities are degrading the infrastructure.
First came infiltration, then came enshittification.
In 2011, hackers breached the servers of HBGary Federal, a private US intelligence contractor, and leaked internal documents revealing a proposed operation - developed with involvement from Thiel's data company Palantir - to deploy near-identical tactics against trade unions, journalists and left-wing activists on American soil. This reporter was among those who covered the breach at the time, and who first drew public attention to Palantir's role in it - the beginning of more than a decade tracking the network this piece describes. The proposal included fabricating fake online personas, planting false information, and running coordinated harassment campaigns to discredit targets. Palantir suspended the employees involved and issued an apology, but the documents had already established that this tactical repertoire existed, was operational, and ran through Thiel's own firm. Those tactics had been developed and deployed over years by a loose network of far-right organisations - funded, in part, by figures directly connected to Thiel.
Pay close attention to this part in the @barrettbrownlol.bsky.social piece:
Social media infrastructure was infiltrated by entities with links to US defense and intelligence and weaponized to undermine the US (and GLOBAL) left-leaning organizing that was happening in the early days of the internet.
It's hard to articulate the level of anger & rage I have about watching this happen. I first saw weev doxx people I love *TWENTY* years ago. I spoke to founders of multiple social networks about the risk of these people over 15 years ago. I wrote about it all a dozen+ years ago. They let it happen.
