"Sofort" gilt auch für Deutschland. Und es ist eine Schande, dass Fragen zur Nutzung von #Ramstein kaum von JournalistInnen gestellt wurden. Das Narrativ, Deutschland und die EU seien nicht beteiligt und ohne Einfluss, wurde gerne genommen. Auch das bedeutet, Verantwortung nicht gerecht zu werden.

In a clock, stability is not “given” …

it is enforced.

The escapement continuously compresses the system’s degrees of freedom into a synchronized manifold.🖖

Die eigenen Instrumente stellen kein Problem dar. Das Problem liegt an der PA-Anlage usw. Man kann z. B. problemlos mit seiner Gitarre oder irgendwas hin und zurück gehen.

And more from the "Couldn't Call It Unexpected" department:

It's been 2 years since Germany legalised marijuana. In those 2 years, the number of adults smoking weed has remained the same while usage among under 18's has actually decreased. Don't tell the creationists.

Trump’s lightbulb moment: America needs Europe after all The U.S. is even looking to Ukraine to help its operations against Iran — as Trump rages at Starmer and Sánchez for refusing to back his war.

The ultimate irony is Trump asking Ukraine for support . www.politico.eu/article/dona...

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

“I think Greenland was a wake-up call. There is more talk [in Brussels] about replacing one dependency with another.”

This is what I told the Wall Street Journal about Europe’s increasing dependence on US LNG following the end of Russian pipeline gas.

Because crime has less to do with policing and more to do with community cohesion than many think. Just because people are poor does not mean they're criminals. Just because people are rich does not mean they are not criminals.

IMDB has flagged Melania the documentary for “unusual voting activity”. Someone is trying to pump up the viewer ratings after critics said it was a worthless piece of shit.

Look, all they need is more training in (checks notes) the most basic concepts of what customs and borders are.

Every social theory undergirding Trumpism has been broken on the steel of Minnesotan resolve. The multiracial community in Minneapolis was supposed to shatter. It did not. It held until Bovino was forced out of the Twin Cities with his long coat between his legs.

The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they’re the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive—because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about “Western civilization,” while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.

Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

No.

He does it silently, away from cameras, away from public image rehabilitation, away from anything that lets him put his name on it.

He serves, and he shuts the fuck up, and that's all he gets. Anything else is between him and his god.
