The Affordable Water Now package offers real, lasting change: a fair billing structure, protections for vulnerable households, and the certainty that basic needs won’t be compromised when times get tough. This is the kind of structural solution our families, our communities, and our economy deserve.
For too long, fossil fuel companies and their allies have been able to spend millions influencing the very people who are supposed to regulate them. That could soon change.
A new ballot initiative would prohibit monopoly utilities from donating to the very lawmakers that oversee them. It would also prevent any company with over $250K in state contracts from doing the same.
We're endorsing this initiative which could reshape climate action in Michigan if passed.

USACE has advanced the Line 5 pipeline project with the release of their final EIS. Acting as a rubber stamp for Enbridge and Big Oil as Trump requested, their disregard for the climate impacts of the proposed oil tunnel threatens our Great Lakes, our community, and our future.
