Reminds me of this stupid idea i had once about a size changing super hero where the gimmick was her giant form was her civilian day to day form and her hero form was normal sized (but powered up) so all scenes of her being giant would be the mundane situations adjusted for her size.

I think many times on that whole shit of "how was this allowed on a kids show?!" The grown ass adult saying that ignores that many kids understand comedy better than they realize.

I was 10 at the time, i knew what a strip club wasa &the joke got me good.
Yet, when the scene happened my reaction was not "Holy shit a strip club! That's not allowed!", i was a kid watching a comedy show, i understood the joke was "it's funny cause they are there for innocent reasons"

In tve 90s the cult classic comedy show "2 stupid dogs" had a joke involving a strip club. It is often cited as an example of "shit they got away with back in the day".
The context of the joke is the dogs wanted to acquire shoes, and that's why the were there, to get the stripper's shoes.

Digital furry artwork of an anthropomorphic red panda girl with blue hair sitting on her knees at the beach, her left hand is holding up an Arizona green tea can lol and she is wearing a two piece swimsuit with blue pink and white patterns on it, she also had red tinted glasses an her hair up in a ponytail. there is a cooler behind her, and the water and skies are colored with pinks and reds and oranges

Having the Nazi supervillain lady namedrop Pewdiepie as an example of something normal kids watch is probably one of the best bits of subtle humor they’ve ever done on this show

I agree, i think people whose art mainly involved anthropomorphic characters are part of the culture even if they don't engage in other aspects like suiting or even having a fursona in pictures only.

Im not saying i believe the supposed leak that says Tifa is coming to street fighter 6, im just saying it would be hilarious if she were to land there instead of tekken.

What you describe is a sensible way to design things, but i see it as designing a very challenging game whose default, intended "normal" mode is the hardest and they added easier difficulties, which honestly it's just meaningless semantics on my side, lol.

I firmly believe that "Normal" should be the "intended exoerience", the default, so not intending to "make the middle road", its for example, how souls games are designed by default for maximum challenge and that is "Normal".

as a trans woman, this is also how i feel

I half disagree, games should always be designed for "normal" but hard mode should be tightly balanced instead of just inflating numbers.

This is such a weird thing to me, how can anybody not understand how once you have kids they just become a LARGE focus on a person's life?
Imagine talking to your friend and them being like "could you shut up about your kids already?", who does that?

I also think a lot about how in one of their podcasts they mentioned the disconnect from gamers who don't have kids who often roll their eyes about them talking so much about their kids, the average gamer being unable to understand how having a kid is the most life changing event in their lives.

I think a lot about that one time Pat described his kid making angry baby noises as "you just know he is talking shit about me".

Love death and robots shorts come in three variants:

1.-"let's push animation to its limits"
2.-"philosophical and/or social think piece"
3.-"i am immature and i wanted some crude comedy, violence, and boobs"

Thankfully we are now in an era where the FPS is going back to it's more wacky roots and militar ones are not nearly as dominant as they used to be.

12 hours ago 1 0 1 0

Well the problem is that it was an actual, honest to goodness propaganda effort to boost recruitment, while people of all races play militar fps, it isnt hard to think white kids bite into the propaganda more.

The dominance of the genre, i think, is why stereotypes shifted.
