Reminds me of this stupid idea i had once about a size changing super hero where the gimmick was her giant form was her civilian day to day form and her hero form was normal sized (but powered up) so all scenes of her being giant would be the mundane situations adjusted for her size.
I think many times on that whole shit of "how was this allowed on a kids show?!" The grown ass adult saying that ignores that many kids understand comedy better than they realize.

Yet, when the scene happened my reaction was not "Holy shit a strip club! That's not allowed!", i was a kid watching a comedy show, i understood the joke was "it's funny cause they are there for innocent reasons"
In tve 90s the cult classic comedy show "2 stupid dogs" had a joke involving a strip club. It is often cited as an example of "shit they got away with back in the day".
The context of the joke is the dogs wanted to acquire shoes, and that's why the were there, to get the stripper's shoes.

What you describe is a sensible way to design things, but i see it as designing a very challenging game whose default, intended "normal" mode is the hardest and they added easier difficulties, which honestly it's just meaningless semantics on my side, lol.
I firmly believe that "Normal" should be the "intended exoerience", the default, so not intending to "make the middle road", its for example, how souls games are designed by default for maximum challenge and that is "Normal".
