After a humiliating day on the streets, Bristol Patriots have since confirmed they are retreating. They are suspending their Facebook account while they ‘reset’ and make ‘significant changes’ – as if somehow people would be sad to see the back of them.
Our reporters also captured footage of neo-Nazi Ryan Ferguson spouting antisemetic abuse at Jewish antifascists. Ferguson was cocky enough to tell them his horrific tirade didn’t amount to an offence, but police have since confirmed they have made an arrest after reviewing the footage.
We worked with antifascist research organisation Hope Not Hate to identify the key players in what was an all round flop of a demonstration, which was, as always, successfully disrupted by a far larger group of well-organised counter-protesters.
Last Saturday, we reported from the dismal, hate-filled (and possibly final) march of the so-called Bristol Patriots. Revealing their true colours, the far-right group invited and welcomed with open arms self-proclaimed neo-Nazis, a child sex offender, a bank robber and other unsavoury characters.
