addendum, the parents are crazy entitled bc they kept letting their (8-10 age) kids ride their electric scooters around in the road where cars frequently come through, and then today their mom was yelling at cars that were going like 10mph that they "had to drive slower, my kids are playing here!!!"
honestly if they just wanted to ask what I was doing, I wouldn't have really minded LOL but our very first interaction was them coming up to me and, no introduction or anything, just "can you give us stickers and bags? I saw bags in your garage"

- using a more expensive fabric + multiple different embroidery locations
- huge logistics cost spike due to oil shortage + some customs changes 😔

I've been so tied up in endless terrible spreadsheets and paperwork and trying to make logistics decisions the last whole week I wanna get back to the fun work stuff like editing photos 😭
like given the horrendous track record of the vast majority of vtuber merch I understand, but at the same time it sucks that other businesses in the space have made my life harder and it wasn't even because of competition or whatever LOL
I really hate that this seems to be the normal experience people have with vtuber merch because it's making my life harder and I'm catching strays for it 💀 also I just can't relate to the people running ops for those businesses who routinely feel this is ok to keep doing
I almost, ALMOST want to subject myself to the hell of the writing again just so I can peruse the environments more slowly and take in the detail more LOL but at the same time idk if I can handle having to sit through their toxic relationship again
the forcing them back together at the end while have minimal/so much backtracked progress in them actually communicating + them just behaving super immaturely the whole game had me yelinnggggggg
I understand the distrust specifically around vtuber merch delivery stems from a ton of repeated cases of companies just taking money and peacing out or otherwise taking 1+ year to deliver stuff with no communication but I try So Hard to not be like so ppl assuming I will is kinda disaheartening
sometimes when people ask me where their package is they are polite and everything is fine but other times people act like I have taken their baby hostage and am willfully dangling it in front of them to infuriate and scam them or something
I only finished it because I was playing it on stream with my partner but from start to end it was just really upsetting to me and felt so Wrong, and I didn't even think the end had a particularly good conclusion/payoff
while I found the gameplay of It Takes Two fun and the environments interesting bc they were so detailed, the writing was extremely painful for me to sit through LOL 😔 I get that the relationship was supposed to be toxic but they just went so ham on making them as hurtful as possible

oh yeah I'm not saying that they're particularly moral people LOL but I think I see what you were trying to say with them wanting to posit the artists as being "better"; I don't think I was understanding what you were saying at first
in the end it's just kinda people lashing out unfairly :x
Like it seems to me as if a lot of people experience a lot of cognitive dissonance with/inability to draw the parallels between what they're doing and what artists are doing to survive, but I think the scale at which it occurs (bc there are so many ppl that think like that) is baffling to me
