Greg Ass-bot had a little to do with it too - and now he can 'own' it (but he won't). #FGregAbbott #texas #gerrymandering
Southwest Minnesota board says no to proposed $4 billion data center complex The CEO of Geronimo Power says the company is looking at alternative options in other communities.
This is what we need more of!
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which is best known for its tracking of hate groups, said that the Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into the nonprofit regarding their use of informants.
While we fight to stop the DOJ from misusing voters' sensitive data at the national level, we're still taking legal action in 25 states and DC to stop them from getting this information.
Today we're in court in New Mexico doing just that.
We'll pull out all the stops to protect our rights.
I really want Michelle Obama to run but she's too smart. Maybe Jasmine Crockett and/or Letitia James - either one would kick ass. I want AOC to run but not quite yet. She still has a lot of good to do as one of the conscience(s) of Congress yet (with John Lewis having passed, RIP)
yeah, we need to get rid of CorporateD's or we'll be back here having this same discussion in the not-distant future. That's why i'm really not in favor of Newsom for Prez, despite being 100x better than Dump of course. Sen. Ossoff of late seems to be a firebrand, and Buttigeig is solid too...
TNG got a lot better around S4 when Roddenberry passed away - as bad as that sounds. He was messing with a lot of the scripts. his old 'no arguing on the bridge' rule writ large. That (to me) is why DS9 was so much better, it allowed the characters to act like normal people with flaws, etc.
Same thing happened with Discovery, despite having otherwise a great crew there too. Strange New Worlds hopefully won't make the same mistakes but this past season was at least 50% bad.
But for the uninitiated - Lower Decks is AWESOME if you haven't seen it. Easter egg: the two-handed punch!
DS9 has some ups and downs but I still believe it to be overall the best TNG-era series (even if it did blatantly rip off B5 in so doing). Voyager started out great and i always liked KM but the plots started just being lame with a few occasional exceptions (mostly 'borg related) a few years in..
somewhere, Gray Davis and Ahnold are not fist-bumping. I wish Jerry Brown was 15-20 years younger.....
I still want Katie Porter, but i also don't live in CA, so it's not up to me.
BREAKING: We’re launching a campaign to educate voters on where Georgia Supreme Court candidates stand on civil rights and civil liberties issues, including abortion and voting rights.
Emails released on Monday by California’s attorney general show Amazon allegedly colluding with other companies to raise the prices of pet treats, khaki pants, eyedrops and other products sold online
Don’t believe the lies you hear about immigrant and undocumented workers.
The real villains are the greedy corporations that want workers fighting one another while they rake in record profits at all workers’ expense. https://youtu.be/4u_HwUn4bYQ?si=QW7tUu6SRTAremKY
Effective 2025 federal tax rates paid by these corporations:
Alphabet: 8.01%
AT&T: 4.6%
Meta: 3.57%
General Motors: 3.09%
Amazon: 1.37%
Exxon Mobil: 1.31%
Disney: -1.57%
CVS Health: -3.88%
Income tax rate paid by the typical American: 14.5%
This is what a rigged system looks like.
Note to Democrats: Voters giving up Trump only to vote for the next Republican solves nothing.
The problem isn't Trump, it's the Republican party.
Don't allow Republican politicians dodge accountability by claiming it was all him.
love it - i'd not build it in an earthquake zone, but :)

Time Tunnel meets The Fifth Element - nice!
"progress" - yeah.....I'll stick with my '87 VW Syncro. Or get a Doka or a Kei pickup :)
I don't think I'll ever get over Clarence Thomas ruling on cases related to Jan 6 knowing that his wife was an active participant in the attempted coup.
Or ruling on cases related to government regulations and a wealth tax knowing he took gifts from billionaires.
It's a disgrace.
glad to see an honest review based on actual consideration of others - I remember someone at a previous job had Google Glasses at work several years ago - I kept my mouth shut. #privacy #*uckerberg #creepy #surveillancecapitalism #facebook #meta #spying #techbros
Stop praising Orbán for not attempting a coup.
He only stepped down because Magyar's win was too massive to steal.
He rigged the constitution, captured the institutions, and used state media to his advantage.
He did everything he could to destroy democracy, and he failed
interesting pic - looks a bit more like Vincent Price to me than TC - always one of those actors that pops up sporadically but in some of the oddest and most interesting places filmwise - Frank-n-Furter lives! #timcurry
that's a dangerous - if totally enjoyable - house to visit :) have you checked out the latest Toho "godzilla, minus zero" trailer yet? look on YT, it looks amazing too :) #godzilla #gojira #toho
reminds me of playing Andromeda Conquest back on our ol' C64's - good times, those: #commodore64 #strategy #ascii

It’s absolutely incredible that one of the largest Japanese-run Go servers, which has been running since 1992, is still accessed entirely via Telnet. And while most players use GUI clients that use Telnet under the hood, you can still connect manually and get ASCII graphics streamed to you
