Just recalled a memory- I think they had shields meant to be glued to the non-spear holding forearm. They were tall and rectangular with abstract faces on them. I'll have to dig through my bits, I feel like I held onto one somewhere

Nothing. My vague memory from 40+ years ago was that he might have come in a blister with 2 other figures (which I still have somewhere in storage), and that the spears were cut metal rod stock and very rigid.

It was always strange to me that HPL was simultaneously saying "The cosmos cares nothing for humanity, the entirety of existence moves at scales and with purposes that render every mortal ambition meaningless and futile" and also "wow, those swarthy people, amiright?"

I had to craft a playlist for someone headed to rehab, who could only bring an MP3 player. It was surreal, a high-stakes playlist that had to do a lot of emotional heavy lifting while still being true to the dark place the listener was in. (they're doing great, said the music helped a bit)

I've discovered so much great music through it! And I had to curate an MP3 player for someone a few years ago, it was amazing to hand-craft a playlist again

As our tornado sirens have stopped going off for the second time tonight just as we were headed for the basement, I'm reminded of how Project 2025 seeks to privatize the national weather service, and I'm further convinced that the only sane option is to cook and eat all of the Heritage Foundation

The clues are presented so that a prospective DM running a campaign in the realms has several choices for what’s really going on, ranging from the relatively not-so-bad to the cosmically awful, so they can choose an underlying story that suits the style of their table.

All that can be said for certain is that none of the children have been harmed. Most rescued children have no recollection of their time in captivity, and even the creatures participating seem to know little about who they serve or what their aims are.
