Shot of headline about gender affirming care for cis men who have gender dysphoria.
On the Trans Day of Visibility I send love to everyone suffering from gender dysphoria, be they cis or trans. Trans people are very far from holding a monopoly on this. Gender affirming care takes many forms, all of them humane and positive. #TransDayOfVisibility
Commenter on The Spinoff’s article, Annie, has some great ideas

THE RESISTANCE EVERY SINGLE THING THAT COULD BE WRONG WITH A HUMAN BEING IS WRONG WITH HIM. BUT THE SINGLE MOST DANGEROUS THING ABOUT DONALD TRUMP IS HOW UNBELIEVABLY STUPID HE IS. IT'S NOT THE MOST DANGEROUS THING IN SOMEONE WHO HAS NO RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT IN A PRESIDENT IT'S THE MOST DANGEROUS THING. FRAN LEBOWITZ
Flash!
It’s a La Niña year. The Antarctic brrs, swoosh up now and then during the shift.

A NY Post image about how men are getting breast reductions.
Cis people getting gender affirming surgical care is really no different to trans people getting it. If your body develops in a way that conflicts with your gender, whether or not it matches your sex, it can cause dysphoria. Gender affirming care is the most humane and constructive care option.
Oh no!
Can we all encourage the rangatahi in our lives to enrol to vote & vote? The next election is crucial, & many have been very negatively affected by the current government. The low turnout for recent local elections saw losses of Māori wards. Too much harm can be done by abstention. Aroha nui ❤️
Seemed to be. Probably felt like crap, but it got airborne and into a tree behind the house. It was the size of a bloody chicken and hit hard. I bet it’s bruised as hell, and rethinking some life decisions.

Is it a mast year? A stonking great kererū just flew into the window. He got back into the air soon after, but he made an impression. He was a beast! #kererū #NZBirds
A screenshot of a Facebook post where a person named Andy ask the Well now “What the hell is transgender?” The Royal Canadian Air Force account response with “That’s a pretty big question asked in a pretty small way, Andy. ‘Transgender’ putting describes someone whose gender – who they know themselves to be – doesn’t match the sex they were assigned at birth. It’s not new, and it’s certainly not a fad. People have lived this experience for as long as people have existed; we’re just finally talking about it openly. You don’t have to fully understand it right away, most learning takes time, but we can always start from a place of respect. That’s how decent folks handle things they’re still getting used to.”
Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

Sports teams, like the NZ Breakers basketball team, who refuse to support queer fans with symbols of pride, stop being safe for us. That refusal tells me I may not be safe at a team game or appearance. I will be cheering for an Australian basketball team this season. One that wears Pride 🏳️🌈
I once told a man pain was less disabling for me than the more restricted analgesics, and he thought I was full of it.
Huge respect to the Jamaican cooking channel Feed & Teach, which is still running on limited power from a gas-powered generator after the hurricane.
Today's show: A recipe you can make with your dwindling perishables!
Donation links for hurricane relief efforts in the description, because goddamn.
A phot of me taken this week. I have short hair, blue eyes. And a long face. I’m mid-fifties.
I’m a gender fluid NB, AFAB w. fluid sexuality. I’m most attracted to androgyny, gender irrelevant. I present as a manly woman. I am fine with any pronoun. I experience intermittent dysphoria as my gender shifts around the parts of the spectrum I inhabit. Any questions? #TransAwareness
