Any good civil engineer will tell you the first step to getting out of a hole is to STOP DIGGING. Also don’t get into a theological debate with the frakking Pope, you jag.

I know it's a waste of time to factcheck these MAGA shitheels but 🤨:
"Mr. Singh referred to the protest [the Cities Church protest] as among the worst attacks on a house of worship in American history"
Honorable mentions would go to Hellcats (if you want to see Ross Hagen actually ride a motorcycle) and the 60’s Beach/Heist/Musical/Action/Thriller? Catalina Caper. I could watch MST3K make fun of white people dancing all day long.
Coming soon: Season 3
Until next time. Push the button, Frank.
And the villain, JC, is more of a carnie with anger management issues than the leader of a “biker gang”. But Sidehackers *wants* to be a biker movie which is why I lump it in with this season’s other biker-themed offerings: Wild Rebels and Hellcats.
My favorite episode of season 2 is Sidehackers

Which now that I think about it isn’t much of a biker movie. Aside from the sidehacking scenes I don’t think anyone actually rides a motorcycle.

This season features the types of episodes that would define MST3K in its early years: Forced-perspective monster movies (King Dinosaur & Lost Continent) and Guy-In-A-Rubber-Suit Kaiju movies (Godzilla, Gamera, Gorgo)
And my personal fave: the biker movie.
A couple caveats before we get started:
This is not the best episodes just my favorites: YMMV
I am skipping the KTMA episodes (because I’ve never watched them) and season one. I’ve only seen a few of these and I really do prefer TV’s Frank and Kevin Murphy’s Tom Servo and they don’t pop up until…

I’ve decided to finally get around to a post (well, a series of posts) laying out my favorite episodes from each of the 13 seasons of MST3K. A 🧵...
I love it when my Irish friend Colin O’scopy comes to visit. Preparing for his visit is the worst but at least it’s brief and comes with some fun drugs.
You know what this football game needs? A mid-drive Zoom call with Cris Carter. What fans care about most is how the Carters decorate the house for Xmas and his thoughts on the Snoop Dogg halftime show.
Here’s some more of what we all come to Bluesky for: Hot. Cog Railway. Content.
“Will the Packers be able to move the ball against the Broncos’ D?”
Joe and Bridget in our seats awaiting takeoff.
Look out, Switzerland, here we come. 🇨🇭
Meanwhile the site continues to be an impediment to pedestrians and cyclists (especially with winter coming). Not to mention an eyesore.

The tournament of champions leader board showing GazeboSeven in a 3-way tie for 13th place.
Team GazeboSeven acquitted itself better than I was expecting. 13/25 is not a bad finish considering the competition and the difficulty of the questions. Thanks to @triviamafia.com for organizing and congrats to our fellow competitors and the teams moving on in the #toc2025
Team GazeboSeven smiling through the pain. #toc2025.
A table card that reads “Tournament of Champions” and “GazeboSeven” and a card with rules.

I see someone in Target management has discovered (probably at some seminar) the Ritz-Carlton 10 and 5 Rule. Every customer service training I’ve ever been to in hospitality has taught some version of this.

In these days of extreme polarization I still believe it's possible for us to come together as one nation and declare that October 13th is too early for Christmas commercials.
Joe stands behind a classic step-through Dutch city bike.
The same bike on its kickstand on a bike path. Trees and the Mississippi River can be seen in the background.
A close up of the seat tube decal that reads “Azor Origineel Neerlandsch Fabrikaat”
A close up of the large, black bike bell.
In these trying times it’s important to still celebrate the good days. And there is no better day than New Bike Day.
My brother and I, resplendent in our Packers gear, smile in the foreground while in the background the sun breaks out of the clouds over the not-yet-frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.
No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than at Lambeau Field with my brother watching the Packers beat up on the Lions. #gopackgo
Instant Replay. Damn, apparently it’s preseason for snarking about football.
Well, I guess it's preseason for the instant review crews as well. #gopackgo
Unless you want to wait for the 2am replay on NFL Network, I'm pretty sure the only way to watch out of market preseason is on NFL+. Which is where I'm watching Packers/Colts.
Oh they totally know what her deal is. I’m wondering if there’s a scene cut from the MST3K version that explains it. I might have to seek out the full movie.
...and we see in an old-timey flashback the moment when she sells her soul to protect her family. But her parents in the flashback are not the parents we see in the scenes set in modern times. It is never explained who these people are; it bothers me every time I watch it.

Question of the day: I'm watching the MST3K episode "The Touch of Satan". In the movie, a drifter encounters a young woman and her family. The girl turns out to be (spoilers for a 54 year old movie and a 27 year old ep of MST3K) a 140 year old witch who has sold her soul to Satan...
Hey Chase, what exactly is an “immersive dining experience?” Do they like put you *in* the food? You have to eat your way out of the chocolate soufflé?
My Google search for movies set in Wisconsin also turned up the Werner Herzog film “Stroszek” and now I’m imagining Wisconsin tourism videos narrated by Werner Herzog.
