Currently using a neck massager that feels like some robot's bony, metal knuckles are making friends (maybe frenemies?) with my spine.
The beauty of this thing is that you can loop your arms through specially-made holes and do other things with your hands...like typing.

We all had a chat tonight and it feels like the misunderstandings have been cleared up. I'm feeling kind of relieved about that.
Zero points for presentation but I guarantee this is going to be damn delicious.
Dark chocolate date bark with extra chopped nuts, cinnamon and ginger stuffed inside.
I also realise I should have put it onto greaseproof paper for easier removal post-hardening 😌

Exactly! I'm trying to justify our choice because it helps us and aids his understanding too. I don't think he realises what the process entails.
I think I should find ways to involve V in making meals more often.
So far today it's been:
7am: "Mummy, can you go downstairs and make breakfast?"
Then we built a new bookcase and went to the park with a snack, followed a white cat around.
11:30am: "Mummy, can you go downstairs and make lunch?"
Well, it looks like my Dad isn't happy about V's primary school choice.
You know what? We have to go with our gut instinct alongside supporting evidence when deciding.
He's got something of an elitist perspective that I sometimes find quite nauseating.
I'm taking a deep breath.
Haha, that's so specific for the southern accent.
Also, I am going to assume that the 'native accent' they refer to is most likely either Cockney or 'BBC English'. Those seem to be the go-to choices.
Or perhaps a Brummie accent? 🤔

Oh, it was originally performed by Peter Gabriel in 2002.
No offence Peter (it's just my opinion), but honestly, I still prefer the Frankel version.

Feeling content that V's school place has been allocated. It's the closest school to us, but despite the convenience of it, seems to be a solid school. One of our friends is the Head of Early Years, so I think she'll be in good hands there.
Unfortunately, Netflix's algorithm has now started recommending the 'hardcore' reality TV shows which I'm not going anywhere near 😄
It's probably terrible that my first thought wasn't Jesus, but the Romans.
At midnight, we find out where V will be going to school from September. I'm excited to know which one it'll be, but mainly from a planning perspective 😅
It'll be nice to chat with her more about what to expect though. She's looking forward to wearing a school uniform and especially "school socks"
Came across this song, Signal to Noise by Frankel.
I feel like the lyrics: "In a world that's viral, there's gotta be a cure" is pretty potent.

God damnit Tyler and Madison 😭 They're too damn cute.
Tyler also summed up the difference between this show and other 'dating' shows very simply:
"We ain't about the drama here"

but it's kind of a bizarre concept to me...
I'm so suspicious about those AI-trainer jobs. Honestly. It feels so weird advertising a job that teaches AI models to do things faster and more effectively than humans, i.e. the applicant. I get that this is often for applications that use AI as part of their offering, and not outright AI platforms
Finally listening to this one, and that skit....WHAT THE FUCK!? It's equal parts hilarious and mind-bending.
Example - a company posted a research assistant position @ 15 hours/week on a £600 retainer with the 'possibility' of making more or becoming full-time based on their performance. But as a base income, they'd only be getting £10/hour for 60 hours work per month which is currently £2.71 below NMW.
Just discovered that independent contractors / freelancers are not subject to national minimum wage laws, and companies can pay them whatever they want. Yikes. I feel like there's definitely some loopholes there, and people are going to get taken advantage of.
Located the ideal walking playlist for this morning's stroll. It's got some real bangers that I'd never heard before, plus a smattering of Johnny Cash.
Although I'm unsure whether harnessing Red's confidence is a positive thing 🤔
Thankfully, I now have two days off to just chill and try to get some shit done, then Friday is my day off with V.
Except experiencing mild nausea after eating, which apparently is normal while the body adjusts.
Congratulations! 😄
ME: 'that's ok' he said 'its not gay if its between a dinosaur and a human'
THE CROWD:
Wheph. What a fucking day. Honestly I'm ready to just sit down and have a neck massage. I'm tired of complaining about work but it's not good enough if they want stellar customer service.
That took me a moment to realise 😄
I get paranoid eating apples in a public place. It's difficult to tell how loud the crunching sound is outside my own head 😅
When we were in the US, I was really surprised you can walk into a supermarket and just buy a pack of 100 pain relief tablets. Here, you're limited to 2 packs of 16.
It's almost £7 for a pack of 10 Lemsip sachets now 🤔
We usually buy the supermarket own brand ones but actually I think they're an unnecessary luxury and homemade drinks are just as effective, if not more effective with fewer additives. So will be doing that from now on.
I've been looking for this video for so long and finally found it again.
