I'm having cause to recall how often I accidentally badly injured my own younger sister when I was a kid and it was at LEAST twice...I never meant it, but turns out that when you shove someone, sometimes you shove 'em through a plate glass table...

Gotta say, pivoting jobwise at my age feels like trying to turn the Ever Given.
Sorry, I know Bsky is a bad format for this, but I'm still on my first coffee of the morning and I can't brain. I think I'm confused - You mean America-West specific?
'Get that idea' that you're special, I mean. My kid gets surprisingly into her House during sports, but of course they're random, you get assigned to 'em pretty randomly at the start, maybe you get put with a friend if someone knows you went from primary to secondary with that friend.
I think some of it for me (as an Aussie, who grew up in kangarooland) is because we have 'Houses' in school - they have an associated colour, often an animal, and you root for your house. So you could easily get that idea, but of course you're dumped in them regardless, heh.

Merry Christmas 2025!

My #verge #garden in #Australia is starting to really glow now. We had a weak start to the season due to unusually cold weather going on, but now we're getting going! My partner and I maintain this so people can walk through it to town :) We built a seat too.
New BARBAROUS yesterday!
New BARBAROUS tomorrow! โจ
I used to build sand sculptures with my kid. We'd collect decorations and do elaborate guardian dragons and give them hair of kelp and rock eyes and fangs. Art can be _entirely free_. The access argument is insane to me, a child of art hisorians. Do they think cave paintings cost money?!
Apropos of a discussion I saw recently...there's a big difference between doxing and looking at someone's comment history. If you post it online in a heavily used public forum that requires no security, it's...just there, man.

So if you AREN'T playing 'Satisfactory', you'd probably enjoy it...pioneer!
#Summer in #Australia:
I've been in the same one running for a number of years now. Before then it was one of the hundreds available through mush clients, most without underlying rules sets. I want to say since...1993? It was originally BBoard systems, then Newsgroups, then mushclients.
I'm not saying an evil force is designing insults for us but we should check to see if someone told Curtis all his python code was auto-generated.
Kigurumi to Siren Suit #transformation? Should wolf also have a zipper, or just sheep for some body horror? Wolf: Social, nervous, #kigurumi, #anthro, #furry, gentle. Sheep: Antisocial, calm, #sirensuit, #monster, #feral, aggressive. Like a WW2 siren suit, sheep exists to protect wolf.
Vampire bats are a highly communal species who feed their ill members, and nurse them, which might kinda fit in too. Oh, and 'selfish' bats who refuse to help others when they could easily do so get remembered as such.
If you can just stay for a few actual minutes...you can upgrade that migraine to a full fledged stress disorder.
Hey, did I tell you Google's AI described me as an AI artist?
I'm so sorry, Nief. I'd be enraged. So insulting, but honestly sounds like the guy's just a doofus who doesn't bother to engage with media.
What. The fuck. Enraging.
Oh! Wait, I'm an Aussie...is calling women birds just a UK/etc thing?! It always annoyed me hearing my uncle call my mum 'old bird'. Vulgar and mean.
I'm assuming that it's ancient slang for women being 'birds', but it's all very weird given that stingers are modified ovipositors and male drones as a result don't have them. Only female wasps, ants and bees can sting.
