🎓 3 in 5 attend colleges where <2/3 of students graduate.
Time to shift our focus.

We know how important it is that we continue to uplift & support all the young girls in schools throughout the nation. #WomensHistoryMonth

Well, here we are again--we're finally going to get the executive order telling the Secretary to close the Department of Education. Maybe.
We made a nice, short explainer on all the things that an EO cannot do by itself, namely close ED or move many its programs to other agencies.

As I look at all the jobs that are being eliminated at ED, with so many concentrated in OCR, IES, and FSA, it looks more and more to me like Stephen Miller is behind these attacks as part of his larger agenda against civil rights and opportunity for all, or what he calls wokeness. bit.ly/4iJKSCu

The idea that the Department of Education is bloated is false.
We know that one of the reasons the FAFSA went so poorly last year is that the agency is understaffed and has to rely on contractors.
Here's a list of the 10 most eliminated roles at ED.
This is who was fired from the union workforce at the Department of Education yesterday. Every single number is a person who served the nation and whose life was wrongly disrupted. That's the first tragedy, but it's clearly not the only one.
