Three separate people have used 'birds' as a warning on InkFoundry, and while I did create the warning system to handle anything for any reason... I gotta ask... should I be more afraid of birds???
Today is the last day to file.
PLEASE SPREAD: Writers of the Future, you are part of the anthropic lawsuit, your works are listed under L Ron Hubbard's name.

Spent Saturday evening with "The Loaf in the Woods" by @davidmarinowrites.bsky.social in @bcsmagazine.bsky.social. Made me love bread even more than before (a tough task) and love ants at all (a tougher one). Went where I didn't expect it to, which, it turns out, is exactly where I wanted to go.
Looking at my characters with so much love when I tell them, "I want to make you worse."
I cannot more highly recommend reading Nico's poem "To Be the Change"-- a beautifully written, engaging, bloody _grin_ of a fantasy poem about legacy and identity. Check it out here, and consider it for ALL of the awards! strangehorizons.com/wordpress/po...
New tags on inkfoundry include: :god forbid a woman do anything" "has anyone asked the house about HER needs huh" and "nobody ever puts past hauntings on the Truth in Sale of Housing report"
BAHAHAHA!!! Love ittttt! Sentient houses is, no joke, one of the best catalogues on inkfoundry, and I love these tags:

I can't nom or vote the Hugos, because for two years straight they've held WorldCon in one of the most dangerous countries on this here planet and just no.
But if you're a nommer/voter, please consider Bone-Eater Earth, published by @unchartedmag.bsky.social.

We published three issues in 2025! If you're reading for awards, please give them a glance. Poetry, flash fiction, short fiction - all original, wonderful works!
Read something *Fantastic*!

If you don’t normally read genre poetry, but you do nominate for the Hugos, now would be a great time to acquaint yourself with some of the fantastic and varied poetry that was published last year!
If you’re reading for the Nebulas, Hugos, Auroras, Locus, Ignytes, or most SFF awards, I’d love it if you’d consider this short story. It’s now also on the BSFA long-list. This one means a lot to me so I hope you’ll give it a read.
If you're voting for any of the sci-fi, fantasy, or other speculative fiction awards, do consider some of my work from last year!
I'm pretty sure voting is still open for the Nebulas, the Hugos, the Locus awards, the BSFA awards, and more!

Iiiiif you're nominating for the Hugos, I have an offering of poetry for you, including the piece @kambriel.com and I cowrote!

If you are reading for the Hugos or for Fantasticon 2026 in Copenhagen, then you might want to check out this story by Sarah Pinsker in Uncanny Magazine
I finally gave in to peer pressure and made an award eligibility graphic (two months late 😂). Nebula nominations close in less than a week and Hugos in a month! Would love if you considered my poems or short stories.
Same! I cant believe the archive is growin'up so fast 🥹
Any ideas on how we should celebrate 2000 stories on InkFoundry?
The InkFoundry crest which represents the genres of the story it is assigned to. The historical crest has feathered wings worked into the usual octopus/tentacle design.
Mini update! Historical Fiction has been added to the genre-crest! I know I’m stretching a bit, but it’s wings full of… quills. Which are at least a little more historical than pens 😶
I realized I never added my Very Short Stories to my @inkfoundry.bsky.social page. Now they're there (well, pending; they'll appear soon), so if you're looking for a few 200-word stories, well, enjoy.
(My personal fav among them is "The Trick", though "Eating Everything There Ever Was" is fun too.)

Hurhurhur... stonks.
Or bots... but I hope it's not bots.
I freaking LOVE this feature!!
I don’t think it’d change except that I could silently and more actively help other people when I see needs on here 😭 it’s so frustrating being limited by financial stress
I’d also still post many cat pictures tho
