Bad news everyone.
I'm a published author.
I'm old.
If you're not, listen to this.
Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.
Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.
It's literally never been more important.
If you ever get held up at TSA for no reason do this

sapphling: sitting anti-kink posters down in front of a wrestling match and explaining kayfabe to them with the patience of a preschool teacher sapphling: You see that one? He's called the "heel." He looks mean and says a lot of scary things, but it's not real and he's actually very nice. When he says "I'm going to break you in half" you don't have to be scared because it's pretend. These two talked about this beforehand, and now they're playing pretend together. Can you think of any other situations that might be like this? sapphling: *screenshot of tag that says #crying and throwing up when you tell me the undertaker didnt REALLY die and come back to life all those times* no that part was real
Alex spots a baseball player and in disbelief, she clasps her hands to the sides of her face and says "WOW! Trey Yesavage! You're my hero!" Trey Yesavage points to himself with this thumb and nonchalantly states "I was born after 9/11. Alex's face rapidly ages, melting into a heap of loose skin and wrinkles. John Schneider grabs Yesaage by the shoulder and says "Kid, you gotta stop introducing yourself to people that way."

If you've listened to it, talk to me. I wanna know what others think. And i also wanna consider writing more "long form" thoughts on music.
It's an EP that demands you to sit and listen to it with your full attention, with your best headphones. It will reward you, not with good feelings, but with something that taps into a raw and ragged part of you, a deep introspection. In it you will find decades of growth and pain.
I've not been able to get "Alive from the Catacombs" out of my head since I first heard it. First as a unique experience, then as new arrangements to songs I've listened to for years, but now as a masterclass. I have never felt a vocal performance so intimately, so painfully in tune with the soul.
A Street Fighter greeting card where Ryu and Ken fist bump when the card is opened. This goes out to all my friends out there. It says, "We've grappled with many challenges...Yet you've always stood by me as a friend!"
Juvenile Heermann's gull (very dark all over) in flight, flying over very very shallow water. Flying to the right maybe two feet off the ground. It's shadow is to the right. Just below the shadow is a reflection on the sheen of water.
Got this really cool, ghostly picture by accident the other day in Dillon Beach, CA. It is a Heermann's gull with both it's shadow and reflection.

there's an episode of The Simpsons where Marge tries to get a violent cartoon pulled from the airwaves, only to discover that the people backing her aren't going to stop at just the art that *she* doesn't like, and that supporting artistic freedom means accepting discomfort.
It aired in 1990.
If I were a technology reporter, I'd do an investigative journalism on what exactly happens when you hit "Report Junk" on a spam phone call or text. Who receives these reports? What do they do with them? How effective are they? When is action taken against a reported spammer?
