If you have time to kill, sorting through your bulk rares to find janky synergies for a twobert is like peak dopamine rush! Then I went to the LGS to find even more rares to help flesh out the synergies.
Highly recommend Minneapolis draft as well!

P1P1 Towashi Guide-Bot was unexciting but solid!
I tried to add lots of cards that support multiple archetypes in order to keep the 1v1 drafts interesting!
My wife and I did a Minneapolis draft of my new bulk rare Twobert!
The main synergies include +1/+1 counters, draw/hand size matters, tokens/sacrifice, Maskwood Nexus matters, and artifacts.
She drafted a sick mono-white weenie deck with a P1P1 Mazemind Tome 🧠📖 She out-valued me 🤦♂️

Thanks, it was! These marathon events can be pretty draining, I seriously need to get more sleep the night before and stay hydrated etc. 😅
My takeaway from the event was the incredible sense of love, gratitude, and pride for the Milwaukee/Wisconsin Cube community and my part in it. The Mana Vault, and everything it represents, has changed my life and those around me in profound and amazing ways. Cream City Cubers for life baby! 💙💛
Lost right away in the quarter finals! P1P1 Cogwork Librarian out of a weaker pack. I think I drafted my seat correctly, but didnt take enough fixing. Never got a busted opener and felt the need to mull to 3 already down and game and that was that! 🤡 My brain was honestly mush after 12+ hours of MTG
Followed up going 2-1 in @glhfgames.bsky.social’s Old Border Foil Cube! P1P1 Deranged Hermit sent me down the mono green path and I kinda just stayed there.
This deck lacked the nuanced interaction from a second color, but at least executed its plan consistently. Was lucky to only lose one round 🍀
Started out 3-0 with big red sneak attack control in The Mono Red Cube by @glhfgames.bsky.social! I maintain that this is the best strategy in the cube.
Without traditional card advantage sources, the use of sweepers, impulse draw, rummaging, lifegain, and unanswerable creatures are crucial.
Finally made my first top 8 in The Ice Cube 3 at @themanavault.bsky.social!
Went 5-1 on the day (lost to Shariq) and ended the night with an awe inspiring top 8 draft of the @aquaone.bsky.social Powered Cube! Got wrecked by my homie @tolariamidwest.bsky.social in the quarter finals! GGz!

Id love to see more splice onto instant or sorcery in the future, it seems like a perfect solution to the parasitic nature of splice onto arcane cards.
I tried to make those work before but some of them are really slow.

I have found a lot of value in doing 1v1 Grid and or Winston drafts
I do my fair share of bot drafts and list pondering, but sometimes I just need to sit at the table and touch cardboard to get a full understanding of the cube
This gameplan looks reasonable to me! I know fixing was heavily contested at that table with 2-3 domain decks.
Im doing some playtesting this weekend and experimenting with having an EE in the command zone instead. Also adding a bit more lifegain to combat the burn and aggro decks. Any thoughts?
Id love to play it sometime, do you just announce you need players on stream? Alternatively, I could always try and get them to host it on the cubecon discord digital drafts
