My most recent is "Dogs Don’t Break Hearts" a Queer YA Hi-Lo about a kid navigating his network falling apart because of a jerk of a gaslighting ex, his community service/volunteer hours he needs to graduate, and a big ol’ husky.

mostly I think it was good creatively and helped make this book much better

but maybe Princess Mononoke also enabled me a bit when it showed me a guy getting his arm cut off in the beginning of the movie
