to be fair, he is probably bored of hearing about his bonespurs deferments- so perhaps he wants to experience it for himself?

Peak Britain- the end of wartime rationing (July 1954) to the Suez Crisis (Oct 1956)? Includes the release of the Dambusters movie and the Airfix model Spitfire...
Not quite meaningless ;-) Judeo-Christian was a post hoc (at best) construct coined in the 1940s to help justify support for the creation of Israel.
Judeo-Christian was a post hoc (at best) construct coined in the 1940s to help justify support for the creation of Israel fwiw.
The Founders would have been very confused to hear this.

interesting- the ngram for Judeo-Christian suggests it did not emerge as a term until about 1930. Perhaps we should be originalist and see what the founders had to say about it?
sadly most of the "what's wrong with my words" posts from wannabe writers have the exact opposite problem...
agency costs are a <insert word per your ethos> thing...
Surely he should have closed the container before shaking the salad?
Today's right tends to deal with the world as if it as they would like it to be, so there is no need to understand it, or deal with it...
no need for gun control if there are no lunatics, no need for abortion if all pregnancies are safe and wanted

My view of economic growth is that it should not be an objective, *especially* once inequality passes a certain point. Governments could perhaps focus on maximizing the healthy happy years of life of their citizens instead?

except randos like for example, checks notes, Obama- who was consistently against it?
I wonder if Americans should be careful of protesting. Calls for regime change on the street might be enough to persuade a rogue nation to launch an attack.
Can you use "clear[er]" in a sentence so I understand. For example: as clear as the US's goals in their attack on Iran?
Isn't it lane based (evolution is not good with duplication)? Given falcons, there is no room for insect falcons...
the fundamental error in UK privatization was that it was supposed to result in same service|lower costs. It ended up in almost every case, because: incentives, monopolies, poor legislation and enforcement, as less service|higher costs.
And you wonder why you can't make a good anti-war war movie these days? #post_irony ;-(
Happy 46095 recently!
if introspection was invented in the 1920s, it was because people had stopped believing in God, not because they (for example):
did not have a conscience
did not want to learn from their mistakes
made every decision instantly based only on what they knew right then
Cuba, Aruba...
is that the start of an unreleased verse from that slightly annoying Beach Boys song?
Puerto Rico and Washington DC enter the chat?
Can you please get someone who speaks the language you are trying to borrow to sound cool and with-it to check your headlines (in this case either sport or American or both). Sweep means win *everything*. no discussion, no almost everything, sweep means sweep.
So much modern historical fiction is cosplay. Language, standards of cleanliness, sexual dynamics, all from 2015...
The people who are reframing the Vietnam era "how many kids have you killed today" chant for Donald J have it completely wrong.
It scans better as Donny J.
other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?
apparently Mercury is not in retrograde, so I have no idea why everything on my Mac went slightly wrong today. That's four hours I won't get back for a net gain of exactly nothing.
