My previous profile picture, cropped from a poster I drew for an animation screening in 2024. My fursona, a yellow dog with a white face.
My new profile picture: a redrawing of the previous image. This time it's a grey- and white-furred brushtail possum.
Dog Time is over.

Thanks a lot for all the follows, everyone! I'm having soo much fun reading and viewing all the Moon Child love. ππ
I'm also forwarding stuff to the other guys, including Ramon, our music composer.
Here are some pencil-on-paper concept sketches I made around the start of Moon Child development. π

There's also Garrat, a guy who turns into a big monster and is so delighted that he never goes back.
And there's Vod, a vampire hologram who magically transitioned to a fully corporeal form which allows him to feel the sun, and he's been living happily for years.
But drawing is difficult!
Space Story 2 was going to feature Evil Witch and Admiral Dog forced to work together.
Meanwhile, Federation Witch begins to conform to Federation standard in an effort to earn social legitimacy, becoming jaded in the process.
Admiral Dog was uplifted to human intelligence as a puppy.
He's plagued by memories and visions of another self that he feels he can never return to. He resents holograms for their freedom to choose.
I used a self-insert to represent this character, For Some Reason.
Space Story 2 had two copies of Witch existing independently.
Federation Witch is still tied to a holodeck system. She gives up her witch hat and begins to assimilate.
Evil Witch has a portable holo-emitter, giving her full bodily autonomy. She commits to being an evil witch, because she loves it.
Me, not trans, making Space Story in 2021:
My favourite character in my comic is the holographic Witch.
In the comic she realises she's a hologram, takes ownership of her feelings, and begins to fight for bodily autonomy.
My then-fursona shows up in-universe as Admiral Dog to shut her down.

Kaiba and Son of the White Mare! Great choices
I haven't! I watched Her Master's Voice basically at random last night, so first intro. I'll keep this one in my mind!

I'm crazy about this movie for the next 3 hours
great documentary about a ventriloquist working through grief while transporting her creative mentor's dummies to a puppet graveyard
Being John Malcovich but instead of being transported into the head of John Malkovich you're just spat out the other side wearing a mascot costume.
Fursuiters are cool, but puppeteers are cooler. Invest in fursona puppets NOW.
It's really great, and reminds me of all the times I've picked up a puppet and felt like it could say anything I was thinking. I go to furry conventions, and people in fursuits give me the same energy. It's all puppets. Everybody loves puppets!
Watching Her Master's Voice (2012) rn. Ventriloquist Nina Conti delivering her deceased creative mentor's puppets to a puppet graveyard, and going to a ventriloquist convention on the way.
Lately I've kept all my most introspective moments to comics, and I tend to do that. Making comics is a form of puppetry, I'm thinking. The puppet can say and do what I myself cannot.

Forgot how fun it is to just draw dogs inside of arbitrary shapes
