A tactic I have experienced, and friends have suffered in healthcare facilities and with doctors using punitive response to complaints, minimizing pain concerns, to avoid dealing with insurance to order tests.

If you are over 70 or may be a caregiver for someone over 70, put it on the calendar to start visiting potential care homes near you, see if that is allowed: keep a chart with which facilities have complaints. When you need extended care there is often no time to distinguish professional vs pit.
