“Reams of empirical research show that people of color in general, and Black people in particular, are disadvantaged in labor markets when skills and qualifications are equally matched,” said Victor Ray, an associate professor at the University of Iowa.

“Civil rights laws are a relatively minor intervention designed to fix state-sponsored discrimination and segregation,” Ray said. “From the time they were implemented, segregationists claimed these laws hurt White folks. It’s shameful and false that the president is digging up a discredited segregationist talking point that most Americans would like to stay dead.”

If you can't see the parallels between the rise of Nazism and the Trump administration then you've either never studied the rise of Nazism and their methods of seizing absolute dominance or you're just one of them and, you know, fish don't know they're in water.

1. look at independents 🙄
2. these elections rely on much more on high propensity voters. GOP used to have the advantage in midterms until the secular left got large enough to give the advantage to Dems

We had elevated turnout in 2024 too but too many Christians shifted right

Atheists are the Most Politically Active Group in the United States By Ryan P. Burge, Eastern Illinois University It’s become almost a trope at this point among people who study and write about American religion and politics – evangelicals punch way above the…

The special elections & midterms rely heavily on the secular left bc we are generally the most active Dem bloc
We turned 2022 from a red wave into a trickle
We are the reason Biden got elected
We did the 2018 blue wave also
Nobody hates Trump more than us

The electorate shifting right isn’t apologetics for Trump. I saw the shifting myself for 2 years. Learn what words mean

It’s an authoritarian personality

You’re the same garbage as those communists who keep calling libs Nazis

You’re just having a tantrum about being wrong. That’s weak bullshit. Grow up

6 months ago 0 0 2 0

The people who kept calling Hispanic Dems “Republicans” whenever they had a problem with the progressive agenda are the reason they shifted right

You were lying and got caught lying, and made an ass of yourself when I wasn’t even talking to your stupid ass

The electorate is stupid. That’s why Trump won

Everyone needs to watch their back bc they had a lot of people fooled into thinking they were doing something left wing, when in reality they shifted right in 2022 in backlash to 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 books in school libraries.

I promise. And the left rebuked the BS uncommitted psyop from the right. Uncommitted was a flop everywhere the left is strongest. It didn’t even get more uncommitted votes than usual

Destroying 🇮🇱 isn’t even a left wing cause. Those protests are controlled by anti-2SS people who do apologetics for Hamas. Which is fringe, even 83% of college students said 🇮🇱 has a right to exist, Hamas widely despised, and the secular left hates religious fascists even when they are 🇵🇸

Even DSA is tiny, there’s almost 17 million 🇺🇸 socialists, 5% of 🇺🇸, but DSA still can’t crack 100k members with SEVEN YEARS of free advertising. Most of the sane people left DSA too and now it’s controlled by literal authoritarian communists who exactly as stupid as their fascist counterparts

Dems can do anything they need to do in order to win back the trust of the center, and they will not lose our votes from the left. End of story. Online “leftists” and DSA freaks are a nothingburger in the data.

TL;DR

THE LEFT IS SECULAR, atheists are generally the most politically active bloc, most politically knowledgeable, VOTES DEM NO MATTER WHAT, strongly HATES Christian Right, never gets caught hating Ds more than Rs. Any “leftists” deviating from that are liars & fringe authoritarian types

6 months ago 0 0 1 0

Which is exactly what happened right under our noses

6 months ago 0 0 1 0

It’s bad that so much of the working class, which is definitely NOT progressive on immigration, 🏳️‍⚧️ or any # of things on DSA wishlist, feels they need to keep their mouth shut so they don’t get called names. Bc then they quietly disengage from Dem media, and click “independent” and then bubble the R

Moderates are usually absent in political discussions, especially online. It’s rightoids & leftoids that are the loudest. Moderates are also the least politically active people, making it easy for activists to get a false sense of consensus from historically Dem-voting blocs like Christian POC

I’m not a Trump apologist, this is real shit and it’s real important to me that Dems win by any means necessary. And the false narratives, misunderstanding the electorate is the #1 thing holding us back when we need BOTH center and left, together, to win.

Plus the last minute Trump boost from first time voters and low propensity voters
Because that’s how much of the electorate went rogue, even the nonvoters showed preference for Trump over Harris, bc they wanted “change“

And they don’t give a single fuck about 🇮🇱🇵🇸
It was prices, immigration and transphobia
They thought the whole Dem party was too far left bc the progressive activists who hate Dems and are actually fringe extremists somehow have a huge outsized bullhorn in 🇺🇸 politics
