A Jackdaw perches on a wire, feathers wildly fluffed in all directions, staring straight ahead with wide, piercing eyes. Its intense expression and dishevelled appearance give off strong chaotic energy, completely at odds with any suggestion of calm or composure.
It's Monday. I'm calm. I'm composed. I'm absolutely fine.

This is INSANE. The Australian GP at Phillip Island is the best Grand Prix every season: The Rins win on the Suzuki; the Martin soft tyre last lap Zarco backflip; the Marquez tyre slip race; the wildlife; all incredible pieces of entertainment!!

Good that it has new use but surely the marketing guys for the barber shop could’ve done a less tacky job

I think that’s okay to embrace his former team isn’t it? It shows his kindness. Sometimes it feels like Jacob Steinberg is a 1-man influence and narrator of the story of West Ham. But maybe it’s because I only follow The Guardian newspaper for my sport, and he is their West Ham correspondent

A tiny Wren stands on a moss-covered branch, half hidden behind a tree trunk. It peers out with one visible eye, as if cautiously checking what’s going on, its small round body frozen mid-peek against the soft green blur of the woodland.
Engaging with Monday from a safe distance...

Absolutely ridiculous. To expect more against Arsenal and Newcastle and Chelsea, especially sacking after this match, to give him 8 games, is poor. I have remembered why I lost interest in Forest in the first place all those years ago

A Jay perched on a wooden post with its tail feathers spread and wing raised dramatically, as if flagging down a ride. Its expression looks mid-squawk, giving the impression it’s calling for help or trying to make a quick getaway.
Taxi to anywhere but Monday please. Thank you!

This is Fermin Aldeguer crossing the finish line at the Mandalika circuit, promoting an illegal brand which has been linked to cyber slavery, in a country where online gambling is 100% illegal. Just add "news" to that brand name, and you're OK. Scandalous, but par for the course in 2025 sport. 3/3

There really is no point to anything the Conservatives offer or say now. They’re more likely to dissolve than to get into power again anytime soon. They crashed and burnt and burnt their bridges with a lot of people I think in their post-Covid term

You’re basically saying ‘you’re better than us, keep the ball, we’ll beat you on the counter-attack when we win it back’. Which is not the motto of a progressing team. It’s the motto of a team who are bottom half (Forest previous 2 seasons)

The only bit of football I watched of Forest last season was versus my localist side Exeter City. Forest were poor and unable to attack a team who gave them the ball back. I don’t think it is wise to continue counter-attack football if you want to progress in the league

I’m not ‘anti-Ange’ really. The football played in the Betis first half was a fabulous sign of what could become. It was inevitable that Forest wouldn’t be as good as last season, and I am happier with playing a different way than defensive counter-attack football. I hope things improve at Forest!
