I think it might be Dumfries House which is nearer to Prestwick, which makes me sad as I really like that place, it’s wonderful. The gardens are terrific. Theres a great playpark though, and a maze.

I know this is a fun, good natured all-Scottish new year #GBBO but watching Wir Jimbo on it is doing my head in. So much for Dry January

Beginning year 70. Why LPs are never ‘vinyls’. And the glories of lost record shops Complete with access to exclusive two-hour Beatcroft Social '25 for 24' show

As my 70th year begins, I ponder the glories of lost record shops, refuse to call LPs 'vinyls' and spend two hours playing some of the tunes that floated my boat this past twelvemonth. 25 for 2024.

Jimmy Carter, 39th president and Nobel Peace Prize winner, dies at 100, his son says The tenacious Southerner was turned out of office after one term. But he had a brilliant post-presidential career as a champion of health, peace and democracy.

Breaking news: Jimmy Carter, a no-frills and steel-willed Southern governor who was elected president in 1976, died Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia, according to his son. He was 100 and the oldest living U.S. president of all time.

Three weeks of mirk and murk in the Greater Zetlandics, quite fast moving today. Front garden, 9.15am after a very breezy night. Worse looming at weekend. You either love this weather or emigrate to Wick. #Shetland.

Had a magical time at the
launch gig in Glasgow seeing old pals and people I hadn’t seen for 40 years. Peter Capaldi and his band were, rocky, mature and magnificent. And Robbie wore his shades.
