Thanks! I'm glad it cought the eye of a real conoisseur of the species. I wanted to convey the idea that its color blends with the sorroundings from the top, but it blends with the sky if seen from below. Then I got carried away with mating display palette for its face :D.

after the lambeosaurus I went down a rabbit hole of more hadrosaurs in my sketchbook. Here I colored one. With the color scheme I wanted to redo that of one of my favourite toys as a kid (that's why it's a little lame 😅)

with the colors I wanted to reference the Maurice Wilson illustration but I don't think they fit my design too well :/

I've got some late #Maysozoic entries, together: Rugops and Lokiceratops! Camouflaging mammals for the carnivore's palette and ... Parrot fishes for the ceratopsyd's one (pretty randomly, maybe just for the parrot-resembling beak and my love for bright colors). Bonus sketches included!
