With the added context that the woman had worked a 20hr day, it can be incredibly frustrating and exhausting for someone to make even a slight complaint about work in jest when they have a more traditional and stable job by comparison.

The gentleman could have left it at, "I finished my morning workout and am relaxing in the sauna." The woman even responded positively with, "excellent way to start your week."

The follow-up where he bemoaned work is actual, and no one is required to respond positively to it.

It’s not that I don’t think preferences are valid. I just don’t think it needs at the forefront of a dating profile. We’re not even giving ourselves an opportunity to connect with a person and immediately jumping straight into “top or bottom” I think our community is lacking in emotional depth.
