I'm stressed and on a 6-hour sleep average, here are the things that made me cry this week:
- A mariachi band that made me homesick
- 99 y.o. Mel Brooks saying "May the Schwartz be with you"
- New Yorkers dancing to a busker
- Sudowoodo
- Spring in general (??)
- The NES Metroid theme (???)
As a manager, one of the big moral quandaries of AI tools is choosing between using them for velocity to please your leadership or forgoing them to go slower and actually train your young reports and I hate how many will choose the former without a thought
marry me????
baby girl I would roast up those kiwi with salt and oil in the oven thinking I was about to get the best potatoes in the world
It's actually unbelievable this hasn't been a law for decades lfg
whispering "woman in STEM" to myself after realizing the HDMI cable was plugged into the wrong port
In the original movies, Han solo looked 30 but exuded 45 and I don't know how you capture than in a young person. And spiritually, he will *always* be older than me probably because he's inseparable from Harrison Ford
No offense to this sweet kid but at minimum Han Solo needs to look like someone who needs black coffee to function and knows what it's like to always have a little back pain
"I'm 100% immune to corporate cultural propaganda"
is something I said before they sent an ice cream cart around the office yesterday
Another example of a multi-million dollar idea that would only require me to burn my morals in a trash can
Just here to report that all the astrologists believe next week is when karma comes for him

They should open the Strait of Hormuz for everyone but us
Screenshot of a group chat dated “Today.” Chappell posts at 8:47 AM: “Does anyone want to visit the Chili’s Big Crispy Food Court of Justice™ in Union Square,” followed by an Instagram link. At 9:47 AM, Chappell sends another message: “The silence is deafening.”
I ask for so little
I have to remind myself of this every day. Also, on top of going through this trauma, we learned that our parents who we thought would take care of us quite simply weren't at home and didn't leave so much as a note
Got around to watching Hoppers and that's gotta be one of the best movies I've ever seen that absolutely did not survive rewrite hell
Screenshot from a colorful Pokémon game showing a player character standing at a shop counter while a plant-like Pokemon named Sudowoodo behind the register says “Have a look.” Several small items or treats are displayed on plates along the counter.
Not to be dramatic but this guy is my whole reason for being
ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of spending my Sundays building a local tool to convert exported Confluence XML files to a searchable JSON database because Confluence sucks so bad and life is too short
ok feeling so silly I waited so long to try Obsidian. I'm totally smitten.
Just want to shout out to my lower right bicuspid who has been the most hard hit by this round of bruxism, hang in there diva
logging on with the boys to get merked by Goofy
Sidewalk sandwich-board sign outside a Pret A Manger advertising “2016 Prices are soooo back,” promoting limited-time nostalgic prices on select NYC menu items, with images of coffee, a croissant, and a sandwich and pedestrians walking along the street in the background.
It's pretty normal to be nostalgic for 20 or 30 years ago but if we're nostalgic for 10 years ago, something has gone terribly wrong
Having a job that matters with a ton of inter-dependency is like standing in front of one of those automatic tennis ball lober things, every day you pray you can hit some but you know some are gonna hit you and you just have to keep going
But like really, if you haven't stepped foot in an arcade in the states lately, the cost to play one round of a game often starts at $3.50 - $4.50.
what in the world
Social media post from Rock Paper Shotgun showing three fantasy characters from a role-playing game standing in an ornate golden hall. The headline reads: “Baldur’s Gate 3’s second act should get a playable new region this year, ass…” (truncated).
I know truncation should never be a strategy but I think I found the one exception
doing taxes is a cool and fun way to find out the consequences of your job change actions
Screenshot of a table from a Pokémon-related game or wiki listing decorative terrain items and blocks. Entries include Fish-scale tiling (Block) described as “Stone tiles in a beautiful fish-scale pattern,” Asphalt Road, Marked Road (Horizontal) and Marked Road (Vertical) for creating crosswalks, Gray circle flooring, Hay pile (Block), and Iron plating (Block) with short descriptions explaining their use for flooring or decoration.
I don't know who this tweet is for but there are way too many block types in Pokopia and I would like to spend approximately 6 weeks rebuilding the taxonomy, thank you for listening
A screenshot of a headline. It reads: NY Penn Station to close for hours before World Cup matches
hey chat, is it it smart and okay to block the public from using one of the country's largest public transportation hubs so that ticket holders can get to the corrupt soccer games
Last night I accidentally fell asleep with my earbuds in. I pulled them out of my ears at some point in the night and when I woke up, I was clutching them so tightly in my hand that it was like prying a relic from the hand of mummy in its tomb
