He ran for Board of Supervisors in his district in 2023. Didn’t win, but important to challenge incumbent Republicans on the ballot. He worked on a Congressional campaign too that I volunteered on. Henrico County rocks. I moved away from the area 2 years ago.

I’m in Virginia and wrote postcards! I also received two postcards, but I had already voted Yes.
I early voted the first day possible!
Just reminded my son. My husband and neighbors have already voted.
I voted first day of early voting per my tradition!
Posted a couple of YES signs to balance out the NO signs at a polling place this morning in my rural area. I early voted already.
Don’t forget to vote Yes today! 💚
Voted first day of early voting!
freshly unearthed purple & white, and plain white turnips with leaves still attached
Sunshade companions: Sow turnips beside tall crops like peas, runner beans, sweetcorn, or tomatoes. Their shade keeps turnips cool & tender—no woody roots! Another tip: keep soil moist with mulch to help retain water & suppress weeds.

Isn’t there still a partial government shutdown for FEMA?
I’m going to fire up my waffle maker! That looks delicious!
You are thinking about EV1 not Volt.
I loved my Volt!
Loved my Volt!! I traded in for full EV after 10 years. I toured their factory in Detroit.
When the Volt came out, I bought it instead of leasing it. I didn’t want GM to get it back and crush it like the EV1.
I would have bought one much earlier.
My Dem Senator texted me to rush a donation. Instead of going back to Washington to deal with civilization annihilation.
And work on my garden.
I guess I have another 2 weeks to get my dental appt, buy more prepping supplies, see my grandson, walk my dog.
I went out and got myself a bagel sandwich and a coffee. Then I pulled out some cash, then went to grocery store to top off some supplies. I feel like I’m the only one around me carrying the load. Now I’m sitting in the sun and letting my dog roll around in the grass. Hoping he tacos out.
I remember a pay phone cost was 10 cents.
There was a person primaring him, but he dropped out, so Warner is the nominee.
I got seeds from 2 different libraries.
I have cards to 2 counties libraries.
I went to a free class in my library put on by master gardeners. Left with knowledge, seeds, and strawberry plant and squash plant.
I buy the Gardein crumbles around $5.99 (can find on sale cheaper) to substitute for ground beef in spaghetti or chili.
I was just in a public library today meeting with other people, got a notary there that I needed, signed up for some seeds from the seed library, got info on saving seeds. Tomorrow I’m going back to take a free class with area master gardeners on berries. I love libraries!!!!
Image shows a large vanilla cake in a catering tray, complete with vanilla icing and various sprinkles
I volunteer once a week at a soup kitchen (though I would describe it as so much more than that). A few weeks ago, I revealed that I love baking, and now I’m the official Monday cake maker. This was my effort from this past week (baked in a repurposed catering tray)
All the family recipes I have from several generations in my family were passed down and created by my women relatives.
