Literally the story of my life with B1 deficiency causing the miserable and debilitating disease of beri beri which is largely considered extinct in the western world. So so extinct, the doctors almost never test for this particular vitamin.

You jest, but this pretty much happened to me with vitamin B1. Everybody checks for B12 deficiency because it's common. B1 causes beri beri which is considered an extinct disease for the most part, so I spent almost two years suffering and not getting tested for it.

Easily the best movie of the year. My wife and I are both from the region that it takes place in. Ryan Coogler absolutely nailed the vibes and attitudes the people of the Mississippi Delta. Sinners is a plenty effective horror movie even without the vampires.

Absolutely fantastic! My husband @drift0r.bsky.social has a bed gaming rig, but his monitor is directly above facing downwards so he can look straight up at it. He unfortunately cannot recline/sit up in bed due to a spine fracture.

6 CT scans & 6 MRIs later, and 5x contract injections later... I'm perfectly normal.

My left arm has fingers that I can't use properly and visible palpable masses that don't show up on MRI somehow.

I have a disorder that should cause a large amount of lesions in my abdomen, but there are none
