“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.

To be clear, when you threaten to murder an entire civilization, that’s not only a horrific threat to commit genocidal war crimes, it’s evidence for immediate removal from office as well as instant arrest for abuse of office and crimes against humanity. Stop normalizing this.

This is why Trump surrounded himself with yes-men.

These cowards aren’t willing to stand up to him even when he threatens the total annihilation of a country.
