Three episodes in, enjoying it a lot. Almost as good as Dr Romantic. Has a lot of potential.

South Korea Is Fighting for Democracy Again—And the World Needs to Know Last updated December 3, 10:09 AM South Korea Is Fighting for Democracy Again—And the World Needs to Know Heesoo Jang Assistant Professor of Media Law and Ethics Journalism Department, University of...

I was preparing to pitch an op-ed on the nationwide protests calling for President Yoon's resignation, aiming to provide global context amid the limited international coverage.

Given the urgency, I’m sharing it now. I didn’t expect events to escalate this quickly. #SouthKorea #Democracy

José ‘Pepe’ Mujica: ‘I dedicated myself to changing the world and I didn’t change a damn thing’ | International | EL PAÍS English At 89-years-old, the former president of Uruguay has beaten cancer. In this interview with EL PAÍS, conducted at his home on the outskirts of Montevideo, where he is still recovering from the after-effects of treatment, he discusses life and death, resentment, happiness and his political legacy

I wasn't aware of Jose Mujica but randomly came across this interview. What a great take on looking back over a life english.elpais.com/international/2024-11-23...

Rue had seen the sea once, forty years ago. Seen waves wash upon beaches of hard, wet sand. Human lives, she thought, were like those waves. We rush into life, all fury and flow and a tumbling, churning hunger for the next thing. We smash ourselves upon that shore, and spread, and slow, climbing the gradient, starting to feel its pull for the first time. And then, either soon or late, but with the same inevitability, we reach our terminus and the sea and the slope start to pull us back into the whole. We leave a crescent of foam to mark the limit of our progress, a froth of bubbles, popping as they realise they’re alone. And before the next wave comes, we’re gone, taking all trace with us.

Took ages, but fun. Cover looks great. Looking forward to the book. No, I'm not sharing my time 😏.

Reading the article it comes across more like most science. The deeper you get the more you find it's not black and white but "it depends".

It's on my list but still getting over Grave of the Fireflies. That hit hard.

You could try cj Archer. Fantasy romances, mostly regency England though. Not very spicy but a little more than most kdramas.

Halfway through #TheMarsHouse by Natasha Pulley and while it's not mainly a comedy there are so many footnotes that made me giggle. She's having so much fun with them. Different to Filigree street but just as good so far ☺️.

Was the second half of #QOT by a different writer? Started out so well, finished with all the usual #kdrama clichés. It was OK but promised so much more 😕.

I really enjoyed it. Thought provoking but with some really funny episodes too. And has some unusual plots for a kdrama.

I'm really enjoying #QueenOfTears #kdrama and while the writing and acting are rightly being praised, I've got to give a shout out to the director or whoever is choosing the camera shots. Some great shots. This seems to be a great ensemble effort. More please!

Yeah, enjoyed Master's sun apart from the last episode where she went off for ages.

Is there any way on netflix to search by screenwriter? Or maybe some other sites? I'd expect they're a better guide than the actors.

Anyone else catch the #kdrama on the BBC news 😂?

It was a difficult watch with some weird plots. I wanted to see how it ended so I hung in and by the end I was glad I did. Not really a heroine journey though..

QOT has been good so far. Latest ep wasn't so good for me. Hope it recovers. Dropped out of MMH, got too annoyed, maybe I'll try again as people seem to rate it.

I liked the premis for #BeMelodramatic and while it's been a bit variable it's grown on me. Not the usual #kdrama plotting. An episode on farting in front of your loved one 🙄🤣!

Oh gosh, this embroidered piece by Narumi Takada is so so lovely. “Stepping on Fresh Snow”
