Somehow every time I see animals solving a problem, it reminds me of @ylecun.bsky.social perspective. Two questions: Can a reasoning model (e.g. O3) solve it within a sandbox (I think it is harder than ARC-AGI)? And can multiple agents or robots collaborate to tackle the problem together?”

Deliberative alignment: reasoning enables safer language models Introducing our new alignment strategy for o1 models, which are directly taught safety specifications and how to reason over them.

I’ve recently been thinking about the limits of RL only for alignment and the potential of self-reflection reasoning for safety. It’s nice to see OpenAI releasing a report finally with a METHOD section leveraging both SFT and RL for alignment.
