Many (if not all) of these would be improved by using the shortening Chunc.

Ah, I see. Would it be possible to incorporate it into your workflow in a way that it wouldn’t replace your job? Where it’s just another tool in your toolbox? This is what I have begrudgingly done as a software engineer, but I’m not sure that same strategy maps to your discipline.

Of all the awful takes I’ve seen from our supposed opposition party today, “nuclear holocaust is just a distraction” has made me feel the most hopeless and despondent. Thank you, Senator.

All good, nothing wrong with being a bit lazy 🙂 you had nothing to prove.

Not sure if you can see her latest reply to me since she blocked me, but apparently only Canadian soldiers got shot in the water and drowned on D-Day. Absolutely insane statement to make.

It's Normandy not Omaha and Canadians got shot shot out of the water on DDay not Americans. My uncle drowned be the weight of the packs and the depth of the water. The uncle who made it to shore watched his friends get picked off like flies. He had to pretend he was dead.

Like Spielberg &Saving private Ryan. Those were Canadian troops in that battle not American. American arrogance& lies of exceptionality when they have enough things to brag about yet they steal Canadian heroes & portray them as Americans. Infuriating. So far Terry a fox is safe.

The five beaches the allies landed at were all in Normandy. Omaha beach is the 20 minute battle scene in the movie. My screenshot is from the same Wiki article.

I respect your uncle’s sacrifice, but you are delusional if you think getting shot and drowning in the water was uniquely Canadian.

You didn’t know that because it’s incorrect.

Omaha Beach - Wikipedia

What are you talking about??? Please cite your sources.

Saving Private Ryan shows the landing of Omaha Beach, which is known to be done by American troops. It follows specific people in the 101st Airborne. The Canadians invaded Juno Beach. This is all known and documented history.

“God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian” by Kurt Vonnegut.

It’s a beautiful short story. Many years ago it caught my eye in a Barnes & Noble (I love Vonnegut books). I ended up getting hooked and read the entire book standing in the aisle.

Also, it might hit extra hard for you since you work in healthcare.

a man is standing in the middle of a forest looking at another man . Alt: Sean Michael Scott’s character from the Rundown attempting some absolute king fu buffoonery (with a lot of build up), and the Rock simply punching him in the face.
